About YRoNS
We all involved in education system, are keen in all round development of the students we are working with. We keep on developing activities which help in developing different personality traits and skills and capacitate them to find scientific and logical solutions to problems they have to face.
YRoNS (Young Researchers of Natural Sciences) is one such program which has been initiated in 2008 for children in the age group of 10 – 18 years of age. The Preysz Móric Committee, working in Eötvös József Gimnázium and teachers of Institut de Genech, France (both UNESCO associated school) initiated the program.
The YRoNS symposium will be the opportunity for high school students from different schools and countries to present orally a research project they have carried out. These projects involve them in research which enhances their skill of analyzing the problem, finding solutions from knowledge gained in class room as well as information gained from surroundings.
YRoNS is an international Forum being provided to these enthusiastic innovative young researchers to exchange their ideas with their peer group. Visit to different countries offers them opportunity to understand not only S&T efforts of the country but also culture of other countries. As on date there are teams from countries namely Cyprus, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany and India are participating in the program but slowly it will cover children from many more countries.
The theme related to use of natural sciences is defined every year.
The theme for YRoNS 2012 is “Natural Resources – Care it, Share it”.
