I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all at the Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) on our Raipur Campus, a proud constituent of Amity University Chhattisgarh.
At ASFT, our mission is to deliver an exceptional education in Fashion Design and Technology, emphasizing the acquisition of contemporary skills and knowledge. This is melded seamlessly with foundational academic principles, fostering an environment where creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning thrive.
At ASFT, we offer full time B. Design (Fashion Design) programme. Lectures are supported by independent study sessions, tutorials, practical lab work and research-based material and group activities. In addition to the core curriculum, we offer Foreign Languages, Behavioral Science and Communication Skills as Value Added courses to our students to help them to bloom at the fullest.
The Fashion Industry in India is experiencing unprecedented growth, significantly increasing the demand for innovative and skilled fashion designers. Following Agriculture, the textile sector is a pivotal employment generator in India, offering numerous opportunities for both skilled and unskilled labour. Notably, India stands as the world's second-largest textile and garment producer, bolstered by its rich textile traditions and skilled workforce, making it a formidable competitor in the global apparel market.
India's prominence in the global textile and fashion industry is undeniable, with its fashion design contributions gaining international acclaim. The scope of Fashion Design extends beyond clothing to encompass accessories, jewellery, and footwear, illustrating the industry's vast potential.
Our B. Design (Fashion Design) program is comprehensive, combining lectures, independent study, practical laboratory work, and research with group activities. We enrich our core curriculum with valuable courses in Foreign Languages, Behavioural Science, and Communication Skills, aiming to fully develop our students' potential.
