NATIONAL FASHION DESIGN COMPETITION
Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, hosted the National Fashion Design Competition on March 26, 2025, under the theme "Renaissance of Craftsmanship – Reviving Traditions, Redefining Fashion."
The objective of the competition was to revive and sustain traditional crafts by integrating them into modern designs
The competition had been organized under the esteemed guidance of Ms Divya Chauhan, Chairperson ASFT, ASFA& ASPA and Professor (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Director General & Dean (Faculty of Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts/ Visual Arts).
The competition was open to Undergraduate and postgraduate design students from universities and design schools in including students from other Amity Campuses
There were 66 entries from various prestigious fashion institutes of India
The event attracted 66 passionate design enthusiasts from renowned fashion institutes across the country like Apparel Training and Design Centre ,Avantika University (Indore) , Indian Institute of Art and Design( Okhla), National Institute of Fashion Technology (Chennai), National Institute of Fashion Technology (Jodhpur) , National Institute of Fashion Technology (patna), National Institute of Fashion Technology (Sri Nagar) , Parul University (Vadodara ),K.R. Mangalam University (Sohna road), Amity University (Noida), Amity University (gurgaon ), Amity University (Lucknow)
The final stage of Competition witnessed the presence of renowned fashion & textile Industry experts like Sh Manjit Singh Saini( CEO, Paramount Group), Ms. Stuti Sharma( LEAD, Campus and Engagement, The Collective and International Brands, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd), Ms Shweta Thakur Nanda( Digital Marketing Branding & Communication Strategist)& Ms. Priyanka Pandey( Design Consultant & Fashion Entrepreneur, Studio Pinks)
For stage I The Jury members comprising of Fashion design faculty members shortlisted 23 entries who were given an opportunity to showcase their Fashion garments at amity university today
The prizes for this event have been sponsored by Paramount Instruments Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of the renowned "Paramount Group" established in 1964 & rare rabbit
There were 4 consolation prizes of Gift Vouchers worth Rs 5000 each sponsored by Rare rabbit which were won by Jayshree vubbana (National Institute of Fashion Technology , Sri Nagar), Sadhna Mishra( IWP), Chandhana Deva .R(Indian Institute of Art and Design(IIAD) Okhla, new Delhi), Neha Goel(IWP)
Ayushi Singh from Amity University gurgaon won the third prize which comprised of a Cash prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by Paramount industries
Anjali Dey from Amity University Noida secured the second prize, which included a cash award of Rs 15,000 sponsored by Paramount Industries. The first prize, a cash award of Rs 20,000 sponsored by Paramount Industries, was awarded to Sejal Rajawat from the Indian Institute of Art and Design
At the conclusion of the event, Professor (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Director General, and Dean (Faculty of Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts), congratulated all the winners and expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement, which contributed to the success of the event.
The evening of first day of Amity Youth Fest 2017 was bedecked with "KREATIV'17–Inter Institute Fashion Design Show Competition" organized by Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) on the theme "Indian Textiles".
Over 11 Teams from various Institutes and Colleges participated in the Show including Apeejay Institute of Design, Pearl Academy- Noida, Institute Of Home Economics, Learning Institute For Styles & Arts, INIFD- Varanasi ,IMS Design & Innovation Academy, Institute Of Fine Arts,Modinagar , School of Fashion Design -Sharda University, International Institute Of Fashion Design, Gurgaon and Satyam Fashion Institute.

The first Team to walk the ramp was from Satyam Fashion Institute and the models displayed a rich mix of Khadi ,Silk and Brocades in bright huesof Red, Blue, Green and Orange, setting the stage ablaze with the confident gait and appealing attires.
All the teams beautifully entwined various textiles found in India ranging from Batik, Kalamkari, Crepe, Silk, Brocades, Khadi Cotton, Phulkari,KanthaWork, Rabari Thread work, Satin and Georgette with abundant use of "PomPoms" which accentuated the beauty of their outfits. The participants, with their creations, brought alive the richness of Indian textiles associated with various States of India.

The Team from IMS-Design and Innovation Academy presented a very innovative Concept of “From Inorganic to Organic” and the participants sashayed down the ramp indifferent outfits made of Khadi Cotton.

Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh hosted a grand Design Collection Presentation portraying a fusion of creativity and innovation with vibrant colors and cuts. The event was showcased at Amity Sports Complex, Amity University on 18th February’16 starting, 7 pm onwards.

'Timeless Classics' was the theme of the Show. The theme itself speaks volumes about variety in styles that had been put to experimentation by the promising Designers of Amity School of Fashion Technology. The designers had drawn inspiration from Classic styles and integrated the same in Contemporary look. Taking this inspiration ahead and incorporating the timeless classic styles, the Designers had created a Design collection which was truly classic & elegant.
The show commenced with a Tie & Dye collection. Fusing the warmth of the Indian summer and coolness of earthen pots, a collection purely dedicated to our connection to the Indian soil, presenting an amalgamation of the deep blue hue and rich warm tones through the timeless classical technique of Tie & Dye.

Embossed with culture, the second collection was a fine trousseau of rich hues including gold and bronze spelling grandeur with each and every silk thread that ran through this brocade collection. The designers made an effort to use traditional brocades in contemporary silhouettes

The next Collection gave a glimpse of the rainbow inspired color palette and made the viewers relate to transitional phases of different moods of a woman. Playing off of that perfect partnership between youthful creativity and feminine maturity, the collection mixed with digital prints, playful colors and exotic styles aims to create the ideal image for the various transitional moods

The grand Finale was a collection of evening gowns made in Floral prints & soft pastels sprinkled with elegance, feminity &delicacy which was most applauded by the spectators
Well-known personalities including Fashion designers like Mr Vikrant Makkar, Mr Satyam, Mr Priyam Narayan, Mr Aamir,Ms Shazmeen And Mr Sahil From Mint Blush Designs, Mr Arvind Verma Managing Director ARTIZEN DÉCOR attended the Event & appreciated the creative work of the students.

“ AN EVENING WITH FASHION” Organized by ASFT, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) organised the annual Fashion Show Competition on Thursday the 12th February, 2015. Like every year, this annual event provided an exclusive platform to the students for displaying their talent to the spectators, who comprised of industry veterans, media & academic community.
This year however, the show was part of a much bigger platform titled “An Evening with Fashion.” This mega event included the following activities:-

This annual event provides an exclusive platform to the students for displaying their talent to the spectators, who comprise of industry veterans, media & academic community. The event also invites the industry-experts to share their views on contemporary topics of interest, so that the audience could gain from the knowledge of speakers and benefit accordingly.
This year, KREATIV’13 hosted an array of activities like,- Fashion Show presentations by Graduating batch students of B. Sc. (Fashion Design) (2011-13 batch)
Kreativ'13 commenced on 21st March, 2013 with a breathtaking Fashion show by the students of passing out batch of B. Sc. (Fashion Design) (2010-13 batch). Industry experts witnessed the collections presented by the students with admiration and offered their expert comments. These presentations were followed by an Inter-College Fashion Show & Choreography Competition titled Razmatazz. More than 15 well-known institutes participated in these competition events. The first prize for Fashion Show competition was awarded to FDDI (Footwear Design & Development Institute). The other institutes which participated were IMS-DIA (Design & Innovation Academy); Satyam Fashion Institute; FMG Group of Institutions; Trinity Institute of Professional Studies; Bhartiya Vidya Peeth College of Engineering etc. The event was attended by Dr. Ashok K. A FASHION SHOW ( a collection of Graduating Batch of Amity School of Fashion Technology ) - KREATIV'12 was organized by Amity School of Fashion Technology during the Amity Youth Festival 2012. The show was held in Amity Sports ground, Amity University Campus, Sec- 125 Noida on 9th feb 2012. The Show was organized as a Formal presentation put on by students of B. Sc (Fashion Design & Technology) 2009-12 Batch to showcase there Graduation Design Collection.
The show provided an opportunity to the students of Amity School of Fashion Technology to celebrate the event with the eminent personalities of fashion industry.

The students designed their collections for Spring/ Summer 2013 on various themes and for varying occasions. There were a total of 27 collections ranging from Casuals to formals were a true experimentation of hues, textures, silhouettes and details .

The various themes highlighted during the Show were Alice in Wonderland, InEgypt, Enchantment & Reflection, Patriotism , Barbie through 50’s ,Little Black Dress, Mystical Treasures , Silver moon, Amarya, Oriental Charkha , Wilderness, Geometry in Cotton, Earthy couture, Quinceanera, Oriental Bloom, Classical Diva, Shahi Libas, Black & White world, Salsa de’ Danse’, Surge & The Street Wear . The collections comprised of stunning innovative collections for the ramp to wearable collections which had a new and fresh look. The highlights of the Show were some beautiful cocktails dresses and red carpet gowns designed by the budding designers of ASFT. The Show wad highly appreciated by all present.
An Inter College Fashion Show Competition on the theme “Green Fashion” was also organized by ASFT during the Amity Youth Festival on 9th February 2012. The Design teams of Satyam Fashion Institute , Design & Innovation Academy, YWCA, Institute of Home Economics , JD Institute of Fashion Technology Hauz Khas, Jaypee Institute of Information & Technology, Indian Retail School, Kamla Nehru College participated in this competition . The first prize was awarded to the Design Team of YWCA and the second to Institute of Home Economics. The eminent Jury for Inter College Fashion Show Competition comprised of Fashion Designers Ms Pratimaa Pandey & Ms Varija Bajaj, Actress Ms Taapsi punnu, and Sr Academician Dr Kusum Chopra.
The Fashion Show was also attended by Mr Aseem Chauhan ( Chancellor Amity University Rajasthan) Ms. Divya Chauhan-(Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) and Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA), Dr Balvinder Shukla ( Pro- VC (A) Amity University, Dr Pradeep Joshi ( Director ASFT & ASFA),) besides the HOI’s, Faculty members and students of Amity University Uttar Pradesh
This show was extensive, enlightening and covered in the media by several news and television channels.
