My journey in Amity has been incredibly fulfilling and transformative. It has not only helped me grow creatively but also given me the confidence to express my ideas through design. One of the most memorable milestones for me was presenting my debut collection at Bombay Times Fashion Week, which felt like a dream come true. I feel extremely grateful to be learning under such supportive and inspiring faculty. Their constant guidance, encouragement, and mentorship have played a huge role in shaping my work and helping me push my creative boundaries. They always motivate us to experiment, explore, and create something new. This journey has truly been an adventurous ride full of learning, innovation, and self-discovery. My experience at ASFT has been very enriching. The faculty members are extremely supportive and provide one-to-one guidance whenever needed. The environment here is both competitive and friendly, which motivates us to grow and learn continuously. Along with academics, ASFT offers many opportunities to gain knowledge across different areas and develop overall as an individual. Experiences like Bombay Times Fashion Week gave me real industry exposure and practical work experience. Seniors are also very helpful, which makes the learning journey even more comfortable and inspiring

I am Aathi Narayan S, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Fashion Designing. I am deeply passionate about creativity and expressing ideas through innovative fashion concepts. I have a keen interest in traveling and exploring diverse cultures, which continuously influences and inspires my approach to design. Observing different styles, traditions, and aesthetics helps me develop a broader and more unique creative perspective. Apart from my academic interests, I am an enthusiastic cricket player, which has strengthened my discipline, teamwork, and determination. Looking ahead, I aspire to establish my own fashion brand and carry forward my father’s legacy in the manufacturing industry. My goal is to blend tradition with modern design and build a brand that reflects quality, creativity, and innovation.

My experience as a Fashion Communication student at Amity University has been a mix of pressure and real learning, and a big reason for that is the faculty. They are supportive but also push us a lot with constant assignments, presentations, and deadlines, which can feel overwhelming at times but actually helps us grow. The teaching is very practical, so we are always working on shoots, concepts, and creative projects instead of just theory. The faculty is approachable and open to discussions, which makes it easier to ask doubts and share ideas. Their feedback is honest and sometimes strict, but it helps in improving and thinking more professionally. They also guide us based on our strengths and focus on making us industry ready rather than just marks. Overall, it is not always easy, but the faculty really helps in shaping our skills and confidence in a real way.

As a BDES TPD student, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty who not only focus on academic excellence but also encourage creativity and critical thinking. Even though I’ve just begun my journey at Amity, it already feels like the right place to shape my dreams. In just a few months I’ve been introduced to the basics of textiles, elements of design, and the foundations of garment construction. The faculty are extremely supportive and always ready to help us understand concepts from scratch, which makes learning less intimidating as a beginner. I love how we get hands-on exposure early from fabric identification and mood board making to design sketches. Being around seniors and students from other specializations is inspiring and pushes me to think bigger. I’m excited for all the creativity and growth that the coming years here will bring.

My experience at Amity University Mumbai has been quite gratifying. Pursuing a B. Des. in Fashion Design here has given me the opportunity to transform my creative passion into a structured professional skill set. In my very first year at Amity, I received valuable exposure through Bombay Times, where I worked in AV backstage, makeup, and styling. I also contributed to two editions of StyleQ Magazine, working on graphic design and layout. These opportunities helped me learn a lot beyond academics. The faculty members have been very supportive, and during my first year itself, I developed strong skills in layout, composition, and several creative areas beyond the curriculum. As part of Amitrendz, the club, I have taken on responsibilities such as creating social media content, runway styling, makeup, and handling guests. These experiences have been extremely enriching and have helped me grow both creatively and professionally

Choosing Amity School of Fashion Technology has been one of the most defining decisions in shaping who I am today, both creatively and professionally. The course has gone far beyond textbooks, helping me understand the real essence of fashion as a form of communication and storytelling. What truly sets my experience apart is how seamlessly I’ve been able to apply classroom learning to my own small business. Concepts like branding helped me build a clear identity and voice, illustration enhanced my ability to visually express ideas, and communication and graphic design lectures strengthened how I present and market my products. As a student of the four-year Fashion Styling programme at Amity School of Fashion Technology, I can confidently say that my experience has been nothing short of transformative. The curriculum at Amity is meticulously structured to nurture academic excellence and cultivate a well-rounded skill set. The faculty members provided invaluable guidance and mentorship as well as empowered me to push boundaries and explore my creativity to its fullest potential. Beyond the classroom, Amity emphasised practical experience through internships, workshops and industry collaborations thereby allowing me to gain first-hand insight into the workings of the fashion industry. Amity University Mumbai is an exceptional environment for students to blossom as well as enjoy the process of learning. During my course in Amity school of fashion technology there was a noticeable difference in the workings of this college that differentiates it from the rest. For instance, the faculty are extremely helpful and willing to always listen to students’ grievances. The people from students, cafeteria workers, and helpers are very polite and understanding. The course structure is very well-planned and gives enough room for industry exposure. The extracurricular activities and clubs give enough room for creativity and to try out other things. There are fests, sports events, and competitions as well as inter-college events that happen throughout the year.

I am currently pursuing Fashion Communication at Amity School of Fashion Technology in Mumbai. I am learning a lot here; the teachers are supportive, friendly, and competent. The abundance of opportunities Amity offers to display our talent fills me with delight. I emerged victorious in Bespoq 23 and also had the chance to be part of the AV team for Bombay Times Fashion Week.

The university emphasizes a dynamic learning environment, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and practical skills among its students. This university enhanced my communication skills as well as changed my thinking ability. My department ASFT encouraged me to participate in community service and social initiatives, fostering a sense of social responsibility. My faculty remolded my skills and made me think out of the box. Amity University Mumbai also offers a bunch of extracurricular activities, including sports, cultural events, clubs, and societies. These activities provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships outside the classroom.

Being part of Amity School of Fashion Technology has changed my vision towards the fashion and textile industry. My skills have been improvised under the supervision of all the respected faculty member. My ambition of launching my own startup and overcoming all of the industry's challenges, as well as becoming a part of the environment, has become easier. Aside from pattern making and design, areas like as personal styling and merchandising helped me better understand my clients and the market. The transition from paper illustration to digital illustration has significantly boosted my portfolio. I am grateful to all of my faculty colleagues who have assisted me in my journey thus far.

As a student of fashion design at Amity University Mumbai, I'm grateful to have friends and faculty at ASFT who are encouraging and motivating. The faculty is committed to fostering the creative potential of its pupils. The program is thoughtfully created, providing a balance between academic understanding and real-world application. As a student of fashion design, I think that designing is a process that calls for the cooperation of talent and expertise, and our ASFT department is working hard to help every student reach their objectives. Exposure to real-world industry possibilities, such as seminars and fashion displays that are fully staffed by the department, is the most fundamental requirement. There is a collaborative atmosphere and friendly teaching members, making the support system excellent.
