Center of Excellence
ASET has established two Centres for Excellence with industry collaboration-one in Photonics and Optoelectronics and the other with Starcom Information Technology Limited on analysis software. With these centres, we aim to promote cutting-edge research and also attempt to come up with solutions to real life challenges faced by the industry.
Consultancy
ASET is proud to have onboard a number of senior faculty members who have been actively associated with technologically oriented industries such as HAL, ITI, CSIR and the Armed Forces (Army, AirForce), etc. Their rich experience and expertise in their respective fields makes our institute a natural choice for being awarded consultancy projects. At present, Prof. Vinod Saxena, of the Aerospace Engineering department, is the Chairman of a National Level Committee for Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review of Environmental Control System Units of Indigenous Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH). It is a recognition of his expertise in the field that he has been appointed the Chairman of the Committee, despite very senior scientists being members of the Committee. He has also been awarded a Design Consultancy by HAL, Lucknow Division, for the design of the main hydraulic pump for Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).
