The faculty members and scholars have published more than 126 research articles/chapters in journals/books of national and international repute. All faculty members are active in doing and driving advanced research, funded by various agencies of Government of India, UGC, CSIR, DBT, ICMR, DST, as well as global agencies. The department regularly invites eminent scientists and academicians to deliver seminars on current topics of national importance to update the students and faculty members about the latest trends and developments in the field of Microbial Technology.

Established with the aim to create a research platform, we have successfully bagged 200lacks from extramural sources like BIRAC, DST, MoFPI, DSIR, ICMR etc. About two dozen Ph.D. scholars/research fellows are working day & night to fulfill the dreams of their parents.

Choice based credit system

Choice based credit system (CBCS) has been implemented at AIB since 2015 where the students can get one minor degree in any other stream in addition to their major degree where students have their interest. As per CBCS student of B. Tech should complete minimum 15-18 credits and B. Sc. should complete minimum 12 credits of one minor track to get minor degree. All students of AIB are registered for CBCS through online registration system. Currently there are two minor tracks are offered by AIB a) Introductory Bioinformatics and b) Food Technology
