The Institute was established to foster talent of those who can excel in this high growth area. To keep students abreast of latest computer science developments, the curriculum is updated and vetted by Industry Advisory Boards with emphasis on practical training.

The academic curriculum of AIIT, covers areas like Networking, Multimedia, Design of Algorithms, Object Oriented DBMS, Microprocessors, Data Warehousing among others. AIIT with its excellent infrastructure and centrally air-conditioned labs, with latest software technology, trains students into qualified efficient computer professionals.

ASET and AIIT equip students with theoretical, creative and intellectual skills. The institutes follow academic excellence in the fields of science and technology. Students’ interest and active participation in the institute is very strong and growing across all programmes. Our teaching pedagogy promotes a spirit of free and objective enquiry in the fields of Engineering, Computer Applications and IT. Amity School of Applied Sciences (ASAS), under the Faculty of Science Engineering and Technology, a part of Amity University Haryana, Gurugram, was established under the Haryana Act 10 of 2010 on April 26, 2010. ASAS was inaugurated in 2013 on National Science Day, 28 February. The School has been setup to develop competencies for science knowledge creation and dissemination, and to conduct research in relevant interdisciplinary areas of basic and applied sciences.

Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB), under the Faculty of Science Engineering And Technology, a part of Amity University Haryana, Gurugram, was established under Haryana Act 10 of 2010. Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB) nurtures talent in various streams of Biotechnology; develops a Center for Excellence providing education in the field of Biotechnology so that the graduating students can cater to needs of Biotechnology, Research, Agriculture, Food Processing, Pharma and Academia.

The objective was to develop the next generation of Biotechnology professionals who are industry ready through their ideas, innovations and knowledge. The institute aims to facilitate ‘Quality Education’, to familiarize and equip young minds to meet global challenges in innovation and application of Science and Technology for the service of humanity.

AIB is dedicated to provide the excellence in Biotechnology Education, Training and Research. It is committed to equip students with extraordinary skills for life, making them not just job seekers, but also job creators. Amity Institute of Biotechnology has taken a lead in initiating a program in the most challenging area with high-tech advancement in meeting the growing need of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics to sustain the industrial venture and also in achieving the greater task of agriculture, healthcare, energy and environmental sustainability.

With highly motivated faculty members and modern research infrastructure AIB is committed to impart high quality science education in research environment to young and bright undergraduate and postgraduate students. With the biotechnology industry registering a steady growth in the last few years, it is seen as one of the key sectors that contribute towards the socio-economic growth of the country. AIB is a pioneer in establishing a strong network of research institutes, industry collaborations as well as developing academic institutes to fulfill the human resource requirement. All these efforts have led to adequate research potential and activity in the area of biotechnology, which can be utilised for healthcare, industrial and agricultural applications.

It is vital to develop interfaces between universities and industry through the concept of industry integrated curriculum, experiential learning and pedagogical innovations to train the biotechnologists of next generation and enhance scientific expertise that exists in the country.

In many cases, seminal discoveries of a fundamental nature in Biotechnology have been converted into products of high importance. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and facility as well as research-oriented academic practices at AIB act as a fulcrum for the growth of students; industry integration; developing business ideas for incubators; and collaborate with leading corporate and industries. Being a part of research-driven university, AIB provides a world class infrastructure for research in Biotechnology, facilitate academic rigour, augment commercialization of new technologies, enable the biotech startups to forge alliances with research institutions, academia, key industries, foster and mentor the challenges in biotechnology investments and promote bio-cluster effects.

 

The AIB courses are holistically designed with inclusion of internships, summer projects and dissertations to attain employment readiness as well as to develop inclination towards research studies. The syllabus ensures that students become proficient in both theoretical as well as practical studies.

The curriculum is regularly updated by the Board of Studies and Academic Council as per current requirements, to out rule the possibility of any outdated components. Amity University Gurugram fosters connections with distinguished academicians and industry experts by regularly organising international and national conferences.

The biotechnology curriculum helps students to build a strong academic research foundation in various emerging areas of Biotechnology, thus preparing them to face industry challenges head-on. Amity School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (ASEES) is committed to providing world class education in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences and disseminate environmental awareness. Established in 2014, the school runs undergraduate program in Earth Science, post graduate program in Environmental Sciences and Management & Atmospheric Technology & Climate Management and Ph.D in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Besides offering courses at Undergraduate & Masters levels, Amity School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (ASEES) also delivers Environmental Studies (EVS), as a core course, to all the other Institutions at Amity University Haryana, Gurugram.

The Undergraduate Program, B.Sc (H) Earth Science, is designed to give the students a solid foundation in theoretical and applied aspects of geology along with a strong field exposure. It aims to prepare the young and budding scientists to find solutions to geological and environmental problems. The course focuses on the fundamentals of several disciplines of Earth Science in preparation for more intensive advanced geology courses in the junior and senior years.

The Postgraduate Program, M.Sc Environmental Science and Management, is intended to bestow valuable information about the Environment through the theoretical and practical sessions. It aims to prepare young environmentalists to contribute towards the health of the environment. The course also concentrates on the fundamentals of the allied disciplines in strengthening the overall view of the students towards environment. The duration of the program is two years for full-time students.

The Amity Centre for Ocean Atmospheric Science & Technology (ACOAST) offers an exquisite Post Graduate Program, M. Tech (Atmospheric Technology and Climate Management, ATCM), designed to providing the students a thorough foundation in theoretical, experimental and modelling aspects of Atmosphere, Oceans, Pollution, Health and Climate Sciences. Besides theoretical advancements, this program also focuses on hands-on experience for the students with In-house world-class experimental facilities such as NASA-AERONET Solar Radiometers, Nephelometer, Aethalometer and Air Quality Monitoring & Analysis System. This program develops the research aptitude in students which leads to Ph.D, patent development and National/International/Industrial collaborations.

The Research Program, Ph.D Earth and Environmental Sciences, is launched for taking earth and environmental sciences, to the higher level of research. The professionals have an option to undertake the Ph.D program in part time mode. The school has highly educated and expert faculties to guide the Ph.D scholars.
