Professor Charlie Jeffery

Vice-Chancellor and President at The University of York

Professor Charlie Jeffery became Vice-Chancellor and President at the University of York in September 2019. He joined us from the University of Edinburgh where he had been Senior Vice-Principal since 2014. He was a Member of Council of the Economic and Social Research Council from 2006-12 and Chair of the Political Studies Association of the UK from 2009-12.

He has a deep-rooted interest in how university research and education can serve the general benefit of society, or public good. In Edinburgh and now in York he has worked to bring together the University with local authorities, businesses, other universities and colleges to promote inclusive economic development, and to open up access to university study and economic opportunity to people from disadvantaged backgrounds - both in the UK and internationally.

Charlie is committed to sustainability, in particular, harnessing the expertise and passion of the university sector to respond to the climate crisis. Charlie is Chair of the N8 Research Partnership (a collaboration of the eight most research intensive universities in the North of England), a member of the Partnership Board of key organisations in the City of York, the York Central Steering Board, and the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. He lives in York with his family.

Philippe MONIN

Academic Dean at Grenoble Ecole de Management
With a passion for teaching and research in strategy and organizational theory spanning a quarter of a century, he has spent over fifteen years enhancing the faculties of two prestigious business schools, emlyon business school and SKEMA Business School. Additionally, he has served for a decade as a member of the executive committees (COMEX) of these schools, contributing to the development and implementation of their strategies.

Vicky Lester

Chief Executive Officer, The Case Centre since 1 July 2022. She oversees The Case Centre's global operations.

Vicky joined The Case Centre in 1991 and has worked in many areas of the business, including sales, operations and systems. She was appointed Deputy Director in 2008 and worked alongside the previous Director on planning and implementing the organisation’s business strategy.

Vicky regularly represents The Case Centre as a speaker and moderator at conferences, webinars and events around the world. She also enjoys reviewing and judging cases for a variety of case writing competitions. Vicky is Editor-in-Chief of The Case Centre's journal, Case Focus: The Journal of Business & Management Teaching Cases, Middle East and Africa Edition.

Prof. Leo Paul Dana

Chief Editor for GCMH conference publications

Professor Dana serves as the Chief Editor for GCMH conference publications, further emphasizing his leadership role in academia. Leo Paul Dana is a distinguished academic figure, currently holding the position of Professor at Dalhousie University in Canada. A graduate of McGill University and HEC-Montreal, his illustrious career includes prestigious appointments such as Marie Curie Fellow at Princeton University and Visiting Professor at renowned institutions like INSEAD and Kingston University. Professor Dana's scholarly contributions are vast and varied, with extensive publications in esteemed journals such as Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice, International Business Review, and Small Business Economics. His expertise spans across domains including entrepreneurship, international business, and technological forecasting, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to research.

Professor Kran Trehan

Professor Kran Trehan, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Enterprise, Partnerships, and Engagement at the University of York, is a distinguished figure in entrepreneurship, innovation, and enterprise development. With a robust international reputation, she contributes significantly to policy initiatives, publishing in top-tier journals, and leading impactful projects supported by various research bodies and government agencies. In 2019, she was elected President of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE), affirming her leadership in SME research and policy advancement. Professor Trehan adeptly bridges academia, policy, and industry, showcasing a commitment to translating insights into effective action and fostering entrepreneurial learning.

Prof. Peter Stokes

Dr. Peter Stokes is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning industry and academia, currently holding the position of Professor of Leadership and Professional Development at Leicester Castle Business School. With over four decades of experience, his journey from a tractor factory apprenticeship to overseeing European marketing operations in Paris showcases his versatility and expertise. As a respected academic, Dr. Stokes has excelled in various leadership roles, including Deputy Dean and Director of Research, while also contributing significantly to the field of organizational analysis as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Organizational Analysis. His extensive qualifications, including a PhD and multiple postgraduate certifications, underscore his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Moreover, his role as UK Ambassador for the Association Francophone de Gestion des Ressources Humaines (AGRH) reflects his dedication to advancing HR management practices on an international scale. Dr. Stokes' blend of academic rigor and practical experience makes him a standout figure in the realms of leadership and management.

Prof. Pascal Lorenz

IEEE Senior Member, University of Haute Alsace

Pascal Lorenz is a highly accomplished researcher and academic in the field of computer science and telecommunications. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nancy, France, and has extensive experience as a research engineer with WorldFIP Europe and Alcatel-Alsthom. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks, and high-speed networks. Lorenz has held various editorial positions, including Technical Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine and currently serves as a Technical Editor for IEEE Network and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He is also an Associate Editor for several prestigious journals. Lorenz is an IARIA Fellow, a distinguished lecturer, and actively participates in international program committees. With over 172 publications and 1,884 citations, his work significantly influences the field.

Mr. Sendilarasu Vijayakumar

Sendilarasu Vijayakumar, GSC Europe Program Director at Schneider Electric, brings over 18 years of international expertise in supply chain management and procurement. His versatile roles include MEA Procurement Director and GSC Europe Operational Procurement Manager, showcasing adaptability across diverse business environments. Vijayakumar holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Marketing Management degree. Certified in Six Sigma Green Belt and Energy Management, he excels in supplier relationship management and strategic negotiation. Dr. Taran Patel

Director of the Doctoral School, Senior Professor, Grenoble Ecole de Management, France.

Dr. Taran Patel, Director of the Doctoral School and Senior Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management, has a rich international background, having lived and worked in India, France, Spain, Finland, and the UK. As a former Program Director of the MIB program, she conducted research as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford and served as an affiliate researcher at the Center for India and Global Business at the University of Cambridge. A prolific academic, she has published in esteemed journals, with her award-winning doctoral thesis resulting in the book 'Stereotypes of Intercultural Management.' Her expertise extends to cross-cultural management, corporate sustainability, and innovation culture. Her second book, 'Cross-Cultural Management - A Transactional Approach,' was published in 2013, and she has recently co-edited a third book on cross-cultural management soon to be published by Routledge.
