Dr. Bhanu, a legal professional with over three decades of experience, has held various prestigious positions in law teaching, research, and training including Acting Director, Amity Law School, Delhi (top Law School in India). Currently Dr. Bhanu serves as Professor of Law, Research and Additional Director/Jt. Head, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, India and Adjunct Professor at University of Adelaide, Australia. His commitment to legal education and research continues to shape the next generation of legal professionals.
Dr. Bhanu, a scholar specializing in the Law of Crimes, Comparative Constitutional Law, Human rights, and Jurisprudence, holds a doctoral degree from Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He also possesses a UGC (NET) qualification in law, a master's degree in economics, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labor Law and Relations. His extensive research portfolio includes over 200 publications across various legal topics, published in esteemed international and national journals, digital platforms, books, Law magazines, national English and Hindi newspapers etc. Dr. Bhanu’s research has been featured in Flagship U.S. Law Reviews and recognized by prestigious publishers like Edward Elgar, Springer, and Routledge etc. His contributions are indexed in reputable databases like SCOPUS, Web of Science, and UGC Care listed journals, many accessible through digital libraries at universities in the USA and Australia. Dr. Bhanu supervises numerous Master’s and Doctoral dissertations and has served as an editor of a UGC-listed journal, co-editor and advisory board member for various national legal journals, and columnist for the national magazine ‘LAWZ’ for over a year.
Dr. Bhanu’s extensive research and involvement in government-funded project exploring the legal implications of human rights have significantly contributed to the field of law. As technology, particularly AI, reshapes legal education, Dr. Bhanu developed research cursors and published legal issues digitally to enhance student learning. In addition to teaching, training, and research, Dr. Bhanu actively participates in university governance, serving on various committees and commissions, including the Academic Council and community services.
Dr. Bhanu has delivered inaugural speeches, keynotes and presented research work on numerous occasions in symposiums, panel discussions, national and international conferences, organized academic events, and chaired technical sessions at prestigious global conferences. He has delivered lectures and been invited as a resource person for refresher courses organized by UGC-HRDC. Dr. Bhanu's expertise is sought by media outlets, and he has appeared on national television to share his insights on legal issues. He also serves as a panel member for doctoral research examinations at central/state universities, Judicial Service Examinations, and Public Service Commission for assessments.
