Teaching :

The amphitheatre-style classrooms provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions between the students and the faculty. Interactive learning is augmented by a variety of teaching methods combining the traditional lecture with seminar teaching, team-based group projects, laboratory practical and advanced audio-visual aids. The objective of this is to develop the analytical, presentation and communication skills of the students.

Assessment :

The units in each course are assessed individually, with methods of assessment varying according to the nature of the subject being taught. It consists of a combination of course work (seminars, projects, lab work, orals, practical), continuous assessment and examination.

Mentoring:

A faculty member is assigned to a group of students as a mentor to address each student’s problems on an individual basis and to ensure that they develop their best possible potential through counseling and guidance.

Placement :

The vast corporate network built up by the Amity Corporate Resource Centre actively helps the students in placement and career counseling. The M.Sc Post Harvest Technology and PG Diploma in Cold Chain Management course find placement avenues in Industry and academia, as scientists, researchers, consultants, cold chain operators, managers and of self-employment - as well as careers in agribusiness, health care, pharmaceuticals and related industries.

  • The entire network rests on four (Firewall, Intranet, Mail, Attachments File & Print) HP and IBM servers.
  • The student and faculty members can access the Internet throughout the campus with the help of broadband radio link and ISDN line backup.
  • E-Mail facilities are available for faculty and students.
