The post graduate programme has been designed in consultation with international experts, which combines classroom teaching with strong laboratory work, field studies, industrial visits and interactive sessions with eminently successful persons in respective areas to prepare students/trainees who can efficiently tackle problems related to horticultural losses as scientists, trainers, technocrats, consultants and entrepreneurs.

Employment : This professional course opens up avenues for its post graduates for self-employment as consultants as well as careers in agribusiness, processed food and beverages , industries and companies dealing with export of fruits and vegetables.

Higher Studies : The course provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation to enable the upward mobility of the students through Doctoral studies and research either in the same subject (Post Harvest Technology) or allied inter-disciplinary subjects like Food Security and Nutrition, Agricultural Business etc., in recognised universities across the country and abroad.
