United Nations Commission on Status of Women (UNCSW)

With great pride, we are elated to announce the Third Offline committee at The Amity International Model United Nations Conference 2023 - United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the sole international intergovernmental body that promotes gender equality and women's empowerment. The CSW plays a significant role in promoting women's rights, documenting the condition of women's living worldwide, and establishing global standards on gender equality and women's empowerment. The Commission's key aim would be to emphasise the significance of gender equality, to sensitise, and to foster empathy for others. At AMIMUN'23, delegates will take an active role in a discussion to raise attention to the challenges that women face all across the globe and to help build resolutions for the betterment of women and girls. Parinay Gupta

Chairperson

Mr. Parinay Gupta has been a part of the MUN circuit for the past 8 years and has attended over 70 conferences. He is known for his expertise in prevalent sociopolitical issues and has always been interested in bringing the most critical aspects of climate change-based agendas to the table. Mr. Parinay is currently an associate at MG Law Affiliates.

Siddhant Treasure

Co-Chairperson

Mr. Siddhant Treasure has been a member of the MUN Circuit for the past six years and has served as Secretary-General during AMIMUN'20. He has always enjoyed public speaking, debate, and Model United Nations. He has an innate interest in sociopolitical issues and a preference for humanitarian causes and climate change issues, and he believes in contributing to climate change-related agendas through Model United Nations. Mr. Siddhant is currently employed by Protiviti as a consultant.

Ranjeet Hudda

Vice-Chairperson

Mr. Ranjeet Hudda, a Political Science student of Kirori Mal College affiliated with the University of Delhi, will be pursuing Law soon and believes that MUN not only helps groom one's personality but also broadens one's vision enabling one to resolve global issues. He has participated in many MUNs as a Delegate and an Executive Board member. He has been a Secretarial member in over forty model UN conferences at the regional and national levels.

Zeba Hussain

Substantive Director

Ms. Zeba Hussain is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from Amity University Haryana. Ms. Zeba has been a part of the MUN circuit since 2016. She has been actively delegating, chairing and organizing several Model UN conferences. She has always taken an interest in exploring new agendas and aspects of public speaking and building up confidence among young individuals. She had been a part of AMIMUN during her undergrdaution program. Being from the background of Psychology she initiates and strives to learn about public communication skills on a global platform.
