Vidit Kulshrestha, Student of PGD Health Sciences, EIT University, Auckland, New Zealand |
Hi, my name is Vidit Kulshrestha. I'm a proud alumnus of Amity Institute of Biotechnology and a student a B.Sc. Biotech. My journey at AIB started in 2016, where I had no idea what I will do next after my bachelor's. But the course curriculum and professors at AIB helped to know where and in which field my actual interests lie and they helped me grow into a responsible and a successful human being. My journey at AIB will always be the best phase of my life and I for sure miss my journey at Amity. Vidit Kulshrestha (B.Sc. Biotech, 2016-2019) |
Ms. Parul Chugh (M.Tech Biotechnology, 2021 Passout) |
"Studying at Amity University was one of the best decisions I made for my higher education and career. The strong foundation in biotechnology helped me gain admission to the prestigious University of Cambridge for my master's degree. I was awarded the Lucy Cavendish College Studentship, a merit-based scholarship, for pursuing the Bioscience Enterprise master’s program at Cambridge. The research skills I developed at Amity also enabled me to secure the highly competitive Khorana Scholarship in 2018 while still an undergraduate student. This scholarship supported me to undertake summer research at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. This early research exposure in the US helped strengthen my CV. My experience with hands-on research projects at Amity gave me the skills and confidence to apply for the prestigious BIRAC BIG grant as an entrepreneur. I was 1 of the top 10 awardees out of over 2000 applicants across India, receiving $70,000 for developing an indigenous cholesterol-lowering probiotic. This entrepreneurial journey enabled high career growth. The strong technical foundation and research skills developed at Amity University helped fast-track my career, opening opportunities like studying at Cambridge, research in the US, working with Invest India, and becoming one of the youngest BIRAC BIG grantee. I am grateful to Amity University for playing a crucial role in my achievements so far." Parul Chugh |
Dr. Shubham Misra (B.Tech+M.Tech (Dual) Biotechnology, 2014 Passout) |
"I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate in Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine, specializing in biomarker discovery and outcomes research in neurological disorders. I obtained my PhD in clinical neurology and proteomics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. My academic journey began at Amity University, Noida, where I completed my B. Tech and M. Tech degrees in Biotechnology and earned the distinction of being the University Gold Medallist. Amity ignited my passion for research in the field of neuroscience and bioinformatics, supported by distinguished faculty and diverse courses. Their holistic approach, including Behavioural Science and Communication Skills, and exposure to foreign languages like French, shaped not only my academic prowess but also my interpersonal skills. Amity's support and recognition, including a merit scholarship award for my outstanding academic achievements, were instrumental in my career development, laying the foundation for my successful path in neuroscience research."
