The AI in Healthcare Research Group is a vibrant and dynamic community of undergraduate and postgraduate students dedicated to the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and biomedical sciences. Our mission is to cultivate a collaborative environment where students can explore, innovate, and lead groundbreaking research at the intersection of AI and biomedical domains. We aim to:

  • AI for Physiological Signal Interpretation: Developing a model to interpret complex physiological signals (e.g., ECG, EEG) for early detection of conditions like epilepsy and arrhythmias.
  • Study of Different Biomarkers for AI-Based Diagnostic/Screening Tools Development: Researching various biomarkers to develop AI tools for improved diagnostic and screening processes.
  • Medical Image Analysis: Implementing AI for classification, detection, and segmentation in medical imaging to diagnose and monitor various diseases effectively.
  • Multi-Modal Study of Data for Optimal Treatment or Medical Test Suggestion Using AI: Combining data from different sources to suggest optimal treatments or necessary medical tests using AI, enhancing decision-making in healthcare.
  • Remote Patient Monitoring and Alert System: AI-driven system to continuously monitor patients remotely using wearable devices and alert healthcare providers of any anomalies.
  • Automated Blood Sample Analysis: Developing an AI model to analyze blood samples automatically, detecting abnormalities such as infections, anemia, and cancers.
