I am Raghav Sharma ex-student of Amity law school, Gurugram. I joined this institution in 2012 and completed my graduation in 2017. The years I spent here were phenomenal and will always be cherished. The quality of education and guidance provided by faculty became the cornerstone of my success. Their concept oriented approach helped me in building a strong foundation for my legal journey. The course structure here completely covers all the major and important subjects in a comprehensive manner. In addition to the above, one gets all the chances here to evolve and hone one's skills by participating in in-house debates, moot courts, essay writing etc. The faculty here is outstanding with specialisations in different legal areas and deliver its best. I owe my success and accomplishment to my teachers and this institution.

Education is a journey taking us from one milestone to another, and in this journey of mine, one milestone is very special that carved me, molded me, and prepared me for the further educational journeys of life. On '8th August 2011'I arrived at this special milestone (Green Education Valley) called Amity University Gurugram, Haryana, which nurtured me firstly with the monetary support of 100% Academic Scholarship and secondly provided me with the much-needed academic guidance, industrial insights, and moral support in my crucial part of student life.

I joined the 'Electronics & Communication Engineering' course (batch 2011-15) at AUG. As I recall those first days I get reminded of the highly structured 'Orientation Program' which lasted for 5 days, this program indeed was an eye opener for me as it dawned on me the much needed academic, professional & industrial exposure via several sessions, seminars and workshops. The ECE course structure with a blend of core modules and modern electives was phenomenally informative, and crafted me with the leading industry-academia skill set. I especially thank Priti Madam, Mahendra Sir, Neeraj Sir, JB Patel Sir and all my ECE department faculty. 

Later in my final years of degree, in pursuit of Industrial Research & Development, I met respected P B Sharma Sir, the Vice Chancellor and the torch bearer of educational reformation at AUG under whose leadership AUG transformed into a research and innovation hotspot. P B Sharma Sir uncarved my character not only with innovative scientific knowledge but also Atma Gyan which is the core of one's life to be on the right path of righteousness and success. Simultaneously during my R&D pursuit I worked in the AUG's Industrial R&D lab led by Raghav Sir, the Guruji with whom I spent the next 1.5 years living the motto of research, innovation, and scientific publication. I can never forget the continuous support of Raghav Sir both morally and financially even from his own pocket to sustain the R&D wave in his lab. Under the guidance of Raghav Sir & mentorship of P B Sharma Sir, I filled 2 patents, created 5projects, and got several scientific publications.

After completing my bachelor's successfully with a silver medal, I also got placed in Aricent through campus placement, but I decided to get along with the ongoing research & innovation at AUG, so I joined AUG as a Research Associate for 1 Year in the Industrial R&D lab, aimed to contribute and learn more in the research and innovation domain. During the role of RA, I would heartily extend my thanks to our respected Pro VC Mam Padamakali Banerjee, Registrar Sir, Maj Gen. (Rtd.) G S Bal Sir, Sandeep Sir and all others who supported me.

Later in 2016, continuing my educational journey, I came to Technical University of Munich Germany (Germany's No. 1 Technical University) for pursuing my masters abroad under 100% scholarship. In 2018 I successfully completed my masters with merit and joined Intel as System Validation Expert, since then I have changed my roles in several MNC's gaining more exposure & skill set with an aim to open my own company sooner. 

But all that hunger for curiosity and fire in the belly to achieve more I inherit from the glorious legacy of AUG. I will end my writing with a quote learnt at day 1 in Amity University that, 'Once an Amitian is always an Amitian' because it's not an academic institution we experience but a family of learners & teachers we are proud of, for our entire life."

I am grateful to Amity Law School, Amity University, Gurugram for imparting me with an unparalleled student experience across a broad spectrum of academic environments and activities, which has graciously augmented my learning besides enriching my overall personality. I offer my gratitude to the dedicated faculty who have collaboratively worked and unremittingly endeavored to imbibe in me the true essence of a law professional. Thanks to the devoted placement committee, I received a plethora of offers across many esteemed law firms and litigation offices. Enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi, I started my litigation practice from Delhi High Court, Punjab & Haryana High Court. In September 2019, I established my own litigation office (The Legal Guardians Law Office) in partnership with Adv. Vishesh Lohan. Currently I am working in Ministry of Commerce & Industry as an Advocate (YP) and handling legal issues in Ease of Doing Business and other areas including Policy making. It was a joyful journey with Amity Law School as I was able to unleash my full potential and carve my identity as a litigating lawyer.

I sincerely thank all faculty members of various disciplines at Amity with whom I have interacted during the course of my study. I express my sincere gratitude to our director Maj Gen P K Sharma Sir for creating an enabling environment full of warmth and rigour at Amity Law School. My head bows in reverence to my faculties for investing their intellectual, spiritual and emotional capital and guiding me beyond requirements of research work.

I have completed my bachelor's of science in nursing from Amity college of nursing( Amity University Haryana) in the year 2019 and the faculty and the facilities of the college are the best. I have learnt many things after enrolling in this course and the faculty guided me the best they can and boosted confidence in me. I would strongly recommend this institute to the students for the best experience of their life.

As a student, I always wanted to do something on my own. When I enrolled myself for M.Tech in Biotechnology at Amity University Haryana, I had only one thing in mind, maximum utilization of the time to understand the inner know hows of medical diagnostics. The faculty at Amity Institute of Biotech has highest number of teachers with international experience, which helps in building vision. The vibrant campus life at AUH also helped building my confidence, leadership quality, and networking. At the end of the day, these were my aces when I started NVK DIAGNOSTIC AND RESEARCH CENTRE. Today, as the director of the organization, I must admit that those early years made me what I am today.

Akshita Vatsayan( B Des 2014-17) graduated Amity University Gurugram with a degree in fashion and a lot of recognition as one of the finest actors of the university, and Ek Awaaz. She is now a part of the Television Industry of India with already two shows in her bag of achievements! “Making it in the industry is not so easy, you need to face several people & cameras and still, it’s not over if you get the role. You need to justify the character, you need to make place in audience’s heart. I am glad I made it in television industry but what I have done yet is just my initial phase, there’s a long way to go. During my time at Amity, I had a suitable platform that helped my ideas grow and a resource-abundant ambiance to enrich the immanent entrepreneurial skills. The support and motivating guidance by ALS in particular and AUH, in General, channelized my purpose and objective to make law in the country accessible, transparent and coherent.

Legal Bites was launched in 2016 on Innovation Day at Amity. Legal Bites engages in providing basic knowledge about core areas of law. The website offers opportunities in the form of competitions, events, and jobs relevant to the legal fraternity. It has constantly been working to create affordable, high-quality particulars on cases, codes, articles, and interviews while catering to a cosmopolitan responsibility.

Recently, Legal Bites was ranked among the top 20 Dispute Resolution Blogs in the world. The competing agencies included universities like Cambridge and Harvard.

Legal Bites has been named Best Online Law Education Platform 2020 in 2020 Indian Excellence Awards by IPAC Insider.

Mayank Shekhar is the Founder and Director of the Ed-Tech platform, Legal Bites. He is Secretary at Udhwik Asha Welfare Foundation and Director of Student Welfare at Lakshya International Academy, affiliated to CBSE

Lavanya Sangwan, a third year student of B.Com(H), has already rocked the Punjabi and Haryanvi music industry by getting featured in a couple of music videos. As a model, she has been balancing her academics at Amity University Gurugram with utmost brilliance. “Being a model and a student is all about balancing. I believe in being an opportunist and constantly try my limits. Modelling and participating in various events has taught me a lot and given me great exposure and experiences that i would cherish for life!”, Ms Lavanya Sangwan says.

Lavanya Sangwan has also been shortlisted for the final round of audition for Miss Universe India 2020 contest, scheduled for 20th December.

My Achievements include winning every dance competition held in Amity University, be it solo duet or a group dance competition.

I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to actively participate and choreograph Sangathan dance events from 2014-2017. Being a mentor, I also taught dance skills to 500+ students throughout college life.

Being a student of Amity University Gurugram gave me a sense of belongingness, focus, leadership and happiness.It made me feel like I have an important role in the university and in making myself & my mentors proud.

Being a part of extracurricular activities at AUH, I got a chance to learn leadership and management skills, and a chance to polish my stage skills. Amity gave me a chance to be the director of Amity Dramatic society. I also got an opportunity to work at different events conducted by AUH which helped me lead my passion into profession. I would like to thank Amity for these exceptional opportunities.

Social Responsibility Club of Amity University Gurugram became my guiding light to find the sole purpose of my life and I founded Saraj Foundation (NGO) for uniting youth to serve humanity with the help of volunteers across India.

Leadership Skills, that I learnt at Amity, helped me to build a digital as well as physical platform for all those enthusiastic youth out there, who have the capability and will for working towards social causes. This platform makes social service possible even while we are sitting at home during the pandemic.

I am looking forward to building a new model for serving humanity based on transformational education, love and unity.

My days at Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences, AUH, have equipped me with a realistic view of profession in mental health and helped me to build the confidence and skills, I need, to succeed in the future. The internship that I have obtained, through the program, has helped me to gain vital on-the-job experience.I am confident to apply my learning in the classroom in the real world. Moreover, I feel blessed to have excellent and dedicated team of faculty members, who have made my course more fascinating, thought-provoking and action-packed. Amity University Gurugram also provided me with a great platform to portray and develop my talent in singing. The support and encouragement, that Ireceived from Amity, has motivated me to perform each song with confidence and passion.

Amity University Haryana has provided me a safe and holistic learning environment where I have been able to hone my public speaking skills. Now I lead the Public Speaking and Debating society, Hunkaar in college.

I have always been passionate about dancing and other co-curricular activities and when I entered Amity University Gurugram, it provided me the perfect platform to display the plethora of my skills. From my very first achievement as AUH ‘Miss Fresher 2019’ to working with Saakar for community wellbeing, I have experienced holistic development in my personality. I have learned a lot, and not just in terms of studies but, also in organization and management.

Entering with an inquisitive mind, adamant to studying and learning about my newfound interest in Psychology, life at Amity took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn. From Coordinating events and running around backstage, as a coordinator, to being on the stage interacting with the crowd I have done it all.I met some of the best managers and leaders of my time in our Teachers and students; I watched them grow as the leaders of tomorrow. Along with my studies and the little “social responsibility group”, that later became the behemoth we all know as Saakar and I call family; Amity also gave me a stage and taught me how to be my best self.I also learnt the will, determination and hard work that go behind building the event around that stage. I came in as an aloof hosteller and left with a head full of fond memories and a new place to call home.

Today, I am at Banaras Hindu University, pursuing my master’s in psychology, all the while trying to build that very same stage in this new place. whatever I learnt, and was taught, stay invaluable to this day.

It’s been a phenomenal journey for me here. From going for numerous hospitality events across the nation to winning a cooking competition during AmiFest, 2020, I feel blessed to be a part of Amity. Even while the whole world was locked down, we kept unlocking the endless opportunities and switched to the online mode and initiated ‘Mission Poshan’ through which we educated the underprivileged and spread awareness about the LGBTQ+ with Saraj Foundation. I, along with my team, hosted the Independence Day celebrations and Orientation programme for freshers at AUG. I became the president of AUH’s debating and social responsibility club- YUVA, under whichwe planted more than 500 trees as a part of ‘तीनवर्ष- तीनवृक्ष’ campaign. I can never be thankful enough for all that Amity is giving me.

An artist is a storyteller. The artist can express a story through painting, through dancing and, through music. I'm an artist. After coming to Amity I got many opportunities to showcase my talent and got appreciation for it. I won Mr. fresher of Amity in 2019, got Gold medal in National painting competition, and, in inter Amity fest, I got 1st position in folk dance category and many more within campus and outside the campus. Here in Amity, I got the best faculty and mentors, who carved me into a professional artist. They always push me and encourage me to be different from others and to do something unique. For me, Amity is not just a university, it’s a place for worshipping the inner knowledge.

During my journey in Amity Gurugram, I was given a platform to enhance my skills, both in academics and other areas. I was awarded with Balbir Shastri award for my batch 2013-15. Also, I was given opportunity to host events like Amifest.

My journey with Amity has been one of the most memorable parts of my life.

The faculty, higher management and every member of Amity universe will help you fly beyond the wide horizon. Today, I am able to study in association with world’s Top University and, able to pitch myself to multinational companies, is because I could use every great chance that Amity gave me in polishing myself professionally and personally.

Amity University has not only blessed me with the finest avenue for my education but it has also blessed me with a plethora of learning opportunities, apart from studies in the form of extracurricular activities.

As an active member of the extracurricular team, it helped me to bridge the gap which theoretical education could not have imparted in me. I was exposed toskills like managing teams, managing time, work under pressure etc. which ultimately helped me to gain an upper hand in the corporate world as I stood amidst the familiar work environment.

To me, I would say, combination of both theoretical and practical knowledge which I gained, as being an active member of the extracurricular team, played a vital role in gaining a competitive edge in the corporate world for which I am thankful and grateful to management and faculty for believing in me and providing me with the opportunity to work under endless guidance and providing me with a platform where I can learn and showcase my skills. Further, I am thankful to Amity University for providing a stepping stone to achieve all my future endeavors.

Amity University has given me a number of opportunities from winning national dramatics award, leading social welfare projects to becoming great in public speaking.

My life at Amity University Gurugram was like a thrilling ride. Every day we would wake up to something new whether it was donating blankets at 3 AM or organizing Amifest (the annual fest); From organizing science conferences to hosting Sangathan, every experience has taught me something new.
