International Symposium on “Fluids and Thermal Engineering (FLUTE-2025)”, held at Amity

Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Noida Campus is organizing the 3rd Biennial International Symposium on “Fluids and Thermal Engineering” (FLUTE 2025), on the theme “Innovations and Future Directions in Renewable Energy Harvesting and Sustainable Thermal Systems”, from 7-8th August 2025.

Inaugurating the Conference, Chief Guest – Dr. N Ranjana, Director, Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management, DRDO, averred, “There is a crucial need for innovation, however, and unless and until you fail, you cannot innovate. Multiple iterations are done before the final outcome can be achieved. DRDO is supporting researchers in a big way, however, research alone cannot take us forward. Interdisciplinary integration of research in all areas, is crucial and students must convert academic research to practical research, which can be beneficial for the society.”

Guest of Honour, Lt. Commander Ms. Tavishi Singh, Indian Navy, stated, “I’m proud to be an Amity Alumnus and Amity University has played a huge role in my successful career as a Navy officer. I had opted for Mechanical Engineering, while studying at Amity and the training and guidance which I received at Amity has shaped my career in a big way. Also, the values I imbibed at Amity have developed me as a human being.” She called upon the students to utilise their time wisely and make the most of every opportunity which is provided to them by the University.

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The theme of the Conference is in sync with the SDGs, focussing upon renewable energy. A lot of work is being done in the area of renewable energy, and the Conference will be extremely valuable for the students as they will be getting a wonderful opportunity to listen to the experts from the industry.”

Dr. Manoj Kumar Pandey, Director, ASET, said, “The aim of the Symposium (FLUTE 2025) is to bring together scientists, engineers, industry leaders and academicians to explore innovative solutions in energy efficiency, low-carbon technologies and sustainable thermal systems. The event will foster global collaboration and knowledge exchange to shape the future of clean energy technologies and fluid-thermal engineering.”

During the two-day Symposium, Paper Presentations and Expert Talks by Dr. Prateek Kishore, Distinguished Scientist and Director General, Armament & Combat Engineering Systems, DRDO, Dr.  Mohammad Rihan, Director General, NISE, Gurgaon, Prof. (Dr.) Atul Srivastava, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, Dr. Maneesh Punetha, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, and others, will be conducted.
