Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Noida, organises “RECA+P 2.0” showcasing students’ creative projects

Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP), Noida organised an “Open Jury cum Exhibition”, for evaluating the Thesis of Final Year Students of Architecture and Planning and the Practical Training Work of Pre-Final Year students. A total of 24 Projects were showcased and 64 posters were presented during the exhibition. The event showcased creative projects of the students, celebrating students’ journey from classroom to practice, thereby aiming to bridge the gap between academia and professional experience by highlighting fresh perspectives and contribution of the next generation of architects and planners.

 

Dr. Devendra Pratap Singh, Dean and Director, Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Noida, explained about the opportunities for collaborations and consultancies through these types of events. He said, “This dynamic platform will enable the students to showcase their projects, participate in insightful discussions, and get benefit from the expert guidance by industry leaders.”

 

The exhibition showcased innovative designs and research projects, offering a platform to the students to present their ideas to a wider audience. Ranging from the domains of Healthcare, Hospitality, Airports, Educational Institutions to Conventional Centres, Urban Planning and Governance, the projects were a testimony to the creative skills and imagination of the students. Showcasing her project, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Sports Enclave”, Anshika Rastogi, a final year student of Architecture and Planning, said, “I’m grateful for this opportunity wherein I could showcase my proposed project, which envisions to create a multi-venue sporting enclave in Ahmedabad city. The Project entails advanced sports facilities in the vicinity around Motera, on the north-eastern river front of the Sabarmati.”

 

Another student, Sunakshi Bhutani, showcased her project “Trinity Bay – Eco-Adventure Beach Resort, Goa” which depicted a fusion of Goan and Konkan architecture. Prajwal Aditya’s project “Development of Integrated Handloom Park in Kaziranga Assam” captured the sustainability aspect while Aryaman Nanda, exhibited his project “Hastasilpa Grama Proposal for a Heritage Arts and Crafts Village, Dhauli”, amongst many other projects, which were highly appreciated by the jury members,  namely Prof. Kavas Kapadia, SPA Delhi, Architect Kavi Jain, NIRMAN Consultants, Architect Sanjeev Sharma, Orionn Architects, Architect Ashutosh Agarwal of Ashutosh Kr Agarwal Architects, Architect Yogesh Tyagi, Delhi Development Authority, Architect Lovlesh Sharma, National Institute of Urban Affairs, Architect Devarshi Chakrabarti, DC Studio and Architect Udai Bhan Singh from SRG Architects.

 

 

The event was graced by urban planners, construction industry professionals, esteemed alumni, and academicians, who offered critical feedback and professional insights about the students’ projects.
