Amity University to collaborate with Japanese Companies for Student Placements and Skill Development
A high-level Japanese Delegation from Japan comprising of Mr. Kazuaki Ikeda, Director- International Affairs Division, Mr. Akihito Kimura, Senior Specialist- International Affairs Division, Hokkaido Prefecture Japan, Mr. Aki Minusa, Economic Strategy Promotion Division, Economic and Tourism Bureau, Sapporo City, Mr. Satoshi Sasaki, Manager-Sapporo Industry Promotion Foundation, Mr. Takatoshi Hayashi, President- Yamako Industry Co. Ltd., Mr. Eiki Satomi, President Media Magic Inc, Mr. Kiyotoshi Araki, Manager-Business Development Sekisho Corporation, amongst others, visited Amity University Noida campus. The aim of the visit was to discuss and deliberate upon the areas of collaboration between Amity University and Japanese companies.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kazuaki Ikeda, Director - International Affairs Division, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, averred, “Hokkaido Prefecture is a place where innovation and nature are in perfect harmony. The diverse industries, promotion of innovation, IT and Advanced Technology Industries, make it a perfect place for Indian students to work and enhance their skills and knowledge. A comprehensive support system provided by us will enable Amity students to emerge as global leaders and they will benefit immensely from the exposure to Japanese culture, enhancing their adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills.”
Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “Amity University has been a beacon of exchange of knowledge and learning ever since its inception and its diverse collaborations with different organizations are a testimony to it. The collaboration between Amity University and Japanese companies will result in producing graduates proficient in cutting-edge technologies, contributing to India's growth as an innovation-driven economy. Amity University offers programmes in 8 foreign languages, and Japanese is one of them. The bilateral ties between India and Japan can be further strengthened by fostering a strong partnership between the academia and industry. Through this collaboration, we are looking beyond student placements and would like to focus more on skill development of the students.”
She congratulated Mr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Head of Amity Technical Placement Centre for his brilliant efforts in forging this partnership under the broader outreach of Japan Desk inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor of Amity University Dr. Atul Chauhan at Amity Technical Placement Centre.
