Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized at Amity University
Amity University Noida campus, in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank Delhi, organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp with the aim to encourage the students to donate blood. Around 150 units of blood were collected from the donors, during the blood donation camp.
Encouraging the students, Shri Ajay Chauhan, Former President, Rotary Club & Trustee, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, averred, “At Amity, we focus on human values and giving back to society. By participating in blood donation camps, students imbibe the values of community service and all those who have donated blood today, have done the most noble work by saving the lives of several people who are in urgent need of blood.”
Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor AUUP, said, “Amity University has been organizing blood donation camps for many years and students participate wholeheartedly since blood donation a great service to the nation and our social responsibility.”
Students showed great enthusiasm and vigour to donate blood on this occasion. Sharing his experience, Mr. Charu Chandra, a B. Tech student said, “I am very excited to donate blood since blood donation means service to humanity and it is our responsibility to serve the society and nation.”
Ms. Anuja, a student of B. Pharma stated, “Blood donation saves lives and therefore, one must come forward and volunteer for blood donation. I’m very happy that the blood donated by me will be helpful in saving lives of the people who need blood.”
Also present on the occasion were Shri Rupak Jain, President Rotary Blood Bank, Delhi, Dr. Aditya B Sharma, Director General, Rotary Blood Bank, Dr. H.P. Singh, Dean Student Welfare, Amity University, Dr. Laxmi Ahuja, Deputy Dean-Student Welfare, along with the faculty, students and staff of Amity.
