A high-level Delegation from Queen’s University Belfast, UK visits Amity University

A high-level delegation from Queen's University Belfast, UK, visited Amity University Noida campus, reflecting Amity University's commitment to global engagement and academic excellence and recognizing the importance of fostering partnerships and building bridges across borders. The delegation comprised of Dr Gary McKeown from the School of Psychology, Prof Mohammed Sonebi from the School of Natural and Built Environment and Dr Arnab Biswas from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen’s University Belfast, UK.

 

Prof Mohammed Sonebi from the School of Natural and Built Environment, Queen’s University Belfast, UK, averred, “Amity’s achievements in the area of research and innovation are truly remarkable and we are glad to collaborate with such a highly prestigious institution. Collaboration in the areas of psychology, architecture and engineering will be highly beneficial for both Universities and we look forward to a mutually beneficial association with Amity University.”

 

Welcoming the guests, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh shared the vision of Amity University on globalization and fostering meaningful connections, collaborations, and exchange of knowledge that transcend geographical boundaries. She further emphasized on the importance of international collaboration in advancing education, research, and global citizenship.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies presented a brief overview of the Amity Universe and highlighted the important milestones and achievement.  Prof. (Dr.) D. K. Bandyopadhyay, Chairman Amity Law Schools and Dr. B. K. Murthy, Dean for the Translational Research & Entrepreneurship Development discussed the possible areas of collaboration and mutual cooperation between the two organizations that would push the boundaries of innovation and drive positive change in our society.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Nitasha Hasteer, Dy. Director (Academics) & Head of the Information Technology Department at Amity School of Engineering & Technology mentioned that interdisciplinary research is at the forefront of innovation and that the visit of delegation comprising of experts from diverse fields at Queen's University Belfast is a beginning of a more fruitful partnership between two globally renowned academic institutions.
