Amity University inks MoU with Hilti India Pvt. Ltd. to explore employment opportunities for students

Amity University inked an MoU with Hilti India Pvt. Ltd, a multinational company and a well-established leader in anchoring and fire protection system, with an aim to foster a mutually beneficial collaboration between the industry and academia and explore placement opportunities for the students, by seeking the guidance of industry experts. The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. R K Kapur, Officiating Registrar, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida and Mr. Pulkit Kukrej, VP-Engineering, Hilti India Pvt. Ltd, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Manoj Kr. Pandey, Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology and Mr. Shounak Mitra, Head – Codes & Approval (Fastening), Hilti India Pvt. Ltd. Hilti. 

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr. Pulkit Kukreja, Vice President (Engineering), Hilti India Pvt. Ltd. said, "We are delighted to collaborate with Amity, which is not only a national but globally renowned educational institution. Our aim at Hilti is to make construction safer and better with the help of new technologies and innovations. The current generation of students will become future engineers, who will play a major role in expanding and the infrastructural landscape, therefore it is pertinent that they must be equipped with the latest knowledge of emerging technologies, which can ensure a developed country.”

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shaunak Mitra, Head of Codes & Approvals, (Fastening), Hilti India Pvt. Ltd., said,Hilti's objective is to develop infrastructure, keeping in mind the aspects of safety and sustainability. Therefore, the company invests in continuous R&D to enhance the safety factor of newly developed buildings and infrastructure. We are certain that this collaboration will help in producing the best quality, skilled human resources.”

Highlighting the significance of signing the MoU, Prof. Dr. Manoj Kr. Pandey, Director, ASET, said, “The collaboration will help in seeking the expertise of the experts at Hilti, whose valuable mentorship will be helpful in upgrading the course curriculum, and aligning it with industry expectations. We also aim to provide the best placement and internship opportunities to our students which will benefit them immensely in their career progression.”

The event was an outcome of focused efforts by Prof. (Dr.) Madhuri Kumari, Dy. Director (Placement &Industry Relations), Amity School of Engineering & Technology and her team at Corporate Resource Center, which is aligned with the Viksit Bharat Sector on “Technology & Innovation Leadership”.
