Faculty members at Amity School of Business (ASB) aim to produce application oriented research that is both interdisciplinary and translational, having practical applications for business and society at large. Through their research ASB faculty members have contributed to the creation of knowledge and it’s implication to the industry. ASB faculty members are known as a staunch advocates and globally acknowledged researchers in the field of business management.

ASB faculty and doctoral scholors publish their papers in international journals of repute which are classified in Class A, B & C based on ISI Thomson Scientifics' Journal Impact Factor, SCOPUS indexed.

ASB encourages its faculty and doctoral scholars to publish their papers in indexed journals of repute listed in ABDC classification based on ISI Thomson Scientifics' Journal Impact Factor, Web of Sciences and SCOPUS indexed.

Doctoral Research

Established in 2011, the Ph.D. program in ASB reinforces the research driven approach of Amity University. To accomplish that, Ph.D. in Management is offered by ASB in two modes -Part Time and Full time. Admissions to these doctoral programs are conducted twice a year as per the norms of AUUP. All kinds of scholarly studies like fundamental research, applied research and project grant based research are supported by ASB as a department.

There are currently 21 scholars in ASB working intensively to achieve their research ambitions. Their research topic exhibits contemporary researchable issues like share buybacks, sustainable marketing and process re-engineering etc. Their work has been published in reputed journals indexed with Scopus, Francis & Taylor and Web of Science.

Publications

Faculty members at Amity School of Business (ASB) are involved in application oriented research. Carrying forward Amity's 18 years of excellence in management education are Amity's B. School faculty who are involved in all domain activities of Management Research, Consulting & MDPs. Such strong focus on research has seen the ASB Faculty conducting innovative research across various spheres and had been very prolific in publishing over 30 books, more than 700 articles and research papers on varied key areas.

Global Business Strategies for Sustainability" (GLOBUSS)

Amity School of Business (ASB), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, has been continuously making endeavors to promote excellence in Management education . ASB organized International Conference on "Global Business Strategies for Sustainability" (GLOBUSS) wherein a large number of academicians, researchers, practicing managers both from India and abroad participated and presented their research papers.

In this International Conference delegates from different parts of India & abroad, such as, USA, UK, Australia, Hungary, Slovakia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Prague, Poland, Canada, etc. participated in large numbers.

Since emerging competitive landscape of business has rendered the need for a new cadre of professionals with a global outlook, therefore, ASB believes in creating an environment where 'Modernity blends with tradition' and the culture.

Prof. J.K. Sharma, Head, Amity School of Business, Amity University, Noida, and the faculty members at ASB are dedicated towards research and other professional commitments. It is our conviction that “Excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude” and thereby while imparting this attitude, we blend theory and practice in an optimal mix for overall enrichment of the students. With this view in mind ASB invites experts from Industry to provide students an opportunity to share experience and expectations of industry from management graduates. ASB has catapulted its research efforts by launching a quality journal Amity Journal of Strategic Management comprising of the research contribution by authors of national and international repute. AJSM is an International, refereed, bi-annual journal seek to publish the highest quality research papers relevant to strategic management. AJSM would seek to publish papers that develop and/or test theory, explore interesting phenomena, evaluate and design methodologies to appeal to strategy scholars, academicians, and practicing managers.

The readers of this publication comprise the academicians, graduate students, practitioners, and all those who are interested in the field of business management. Journal publishes research papers and management case studies on several functional areas of management, contexts and research methods that examine the rapidly evolving relationship in the varied disciplines of management.

The journal covers all facets of strategic management in both private and public organizations including strategic decision making, competition, alliances and partnering, networks, mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, culture, new ventures, innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, globalisation, learning, knowledge management, resource leverage, environment and sustainability, leadership, corporate social responsibility, technology and its impact, future foresights, and strategy implementation.
