Personality development is a major focus at Amity University, recognizing that a significant part of success in life relies on one’s confidence and personality. To assist students in personal grooming, we offer special sessions on business etiquette, negotiation skills, and effective communication. Additionally, we conduct classes on leadership, teamwork, and analytical skills to further enhance their personal and professional growth.
The unique Mentor-Mentee Concept at Amity fosters continuous interaction between faculty and students. Each faculty member mentors 5-6 students, providing guidance on academic and personal concerns, enhancing their confidence to thrive in the corporate world. Additionally, Amity offers Amity Student Counselling Services (ASCOS) for students facing personal or emotional challenges. At Amity, we ensure that any student encountering roadblocks in personal or professional life receives the appropriate counselling.
The education framework at Amity is founded on core values and ethics, emphasizing principles such as patriotism, courage, and respect for elders. This strong sense of purpose led to the creation of the ‘101 Attributes of an Amitian,’ a booklet detailing norms and guidelines that explore 101-character traits essential for personal development. These attributes are integrated into teaching activities, group projects, and are discussed in lectures and student interactions.
Amity institutions also celebrate ‘Human Values Quarter,’ organizing a wide array of events to raise awareness about the importance of human values.
An integral part of the curriculum at Amity is boosting students’ confidence for interviews and group discussions. We focus on key preparation aspects such as dressing for success, mastering body language, tackling difficult questions, refreshing business etiquette, and excelling in group discussions and extempore speaking. Our methodology includes presentations, technique discussions, public speaking practice, group discussion drills, and personalized attention through mock interviews.
All students participate in a 7-day Military Training Camp held at Amity’s 150-acre campus in Manesar, adjacent to the National Security Guards (NSG) Training Camp. Veterans of the armed forces provide the training.
During the camp, students embrace the values of discipline, patriotism, commitment, and perseverance by engaging in various activities such as parasailing, trekking, shooting, and rock climbing/rappelling. These activities test their mental and physical agility, instilling a strong spirit of resilience.
