ABOUT US
Welcome to the Centre for Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis!
Exploring Nature's Toolkit: Medicinal Chemistry for Tomorrow's Cures
Centre for Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis provides education in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Our program is meticulously aligned with PCI regulations to equip the students with up-to-date knowledge in pharmaceutical organic, medicinal, and analytical chemistry. Our dedicated faculties are committed to fostering quality education in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis through our emphasis on teaching, scholarly pursuits, and community engagement.
At our centre, students benefit from a diverse range of educational opportunities, including hands-on involvement in cutting-edge research projects led by our esteemed faculty. We specialize in emerging fields such as Drug Design and Development, Analysis of natural and synthetic products using sophisticated instruments, research writing, and analytical documentation.
Our faculty excels in custom synthesis of small heterocycles and new chemical entities (NCEs), as well as expertise in Ligand and Structure-based Drug Design, in silico virtual screening, and various molecular modelling techniques. Our research endeavours focus on Structure-based approaches to discovering wide therapeutic areas.
The vision & mission of the department are
Vision:
"To be a leader in advancing knowledge within emerging fields such as target-based drug design, custom synthesis and pharmaceutical analysis."
Mission:
"Our mission is to excel in Hit to Lead and Lead Optimization strategies, and to innovate in the development of processes for synthesizing and analysing drugs and drug intermediates."
