I pursued Bachelor of Science (Honors) Neurosciences in the institute of neuropsychology and neurosciences (AINN) at Amity University. The course structure is well-balanced and provides diverse opportunities and broad perspectives to the basic knowledge of neurosciences. It is very rare that you come across research professors like the faculty at AINN who are engaging, crystal clear in terms of their teaching methodology. The faculty ensures that research discussions form the core of conversations and emphasis is given on developing novel ideas to problem solutions. I have been exposed to a very open and friendly atmosphere of discussing scientific questions which has been a huge advantage.

Amity University is a very welcoming place, and from the first day, I felt at home here. I have learned and experienced so many new things in such a short period of time, and it has gone by so fast. I have made many new friends from many different backgrounds. There are so many students from different parts of our country on my floor in residence and that has allowed me an insight into their cultures.

My classes are great and I enjoy every one of them, especially Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology. The depth and detail of what we are learning is far beyond my high school experience. It is just amazing to think that even the tiniest details on the subatomic level can have such a huge impact. My physics class is also interesting because it is physics for the Life Sciences. In high school we discussed mechanical aspects of physics, but now we are relating them to organisms and movement. It has made me realize how everything action is related to forces. That is probably the best part of university. It introduces so many new concepts that change our view of the world. I am also taking an introduction of french, which I greatly enjoy. Learning a new language is challenging but it is very rewarding. The course load is intense, so time management is key.

As for extracurricular activities, I am part of our Sports team and I was leading the department Sports team in Sangathan 2018. Another thing I really enjoy on campus is going to the gym and Swimming pool. I try to go at least four times a week.

Time has been flying by and it’s hard to believe that we have been on campus for three years already. Life at Amity was a great experience that I plan to make the most out of.

Amity has been a wonderful experience. I have learnt a lot, both academically and personally. All faculty members, mentors and everyone in Amity family have been a great help and strong support. Success is not only defined by winning awards but the efforts, hardwork and Perseverance that are put to achieve success. This is what Amity students get to learn and imbibe on their voyage to success. Amity is epitome of learning where students fulfill their dreams, overcome fears and weaknesses to step into the world as smart and confident professionals. This place has immensely added to my persona and I will always cherish the memories I shared with this place.

My deep fascination for brain had me carve my career in the field of Neurosciences. Amity University offered me the opportunity of enrolling in an honors bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience for which I’m grateful and proud. The reason I opted to study here primarily was because it was a pioneering school offering a blend of multidisciplinary sciences to understand the nervous system. Our institute harbors exceptional experts in several divisions of Neuroscience, who helped me implement and foster my scientific skills. Challenging yet enriching experiences helped shaped me into a more productive and confident individual, willing to follow my goals – become a neuroscientist. Not just academically, our course equipped us with some industry exposure during vacations, that added great value to our understanding of the subject. Furthermore, I have enjoyed access to a range of courses and resources created to promote holistic development of the students. Multi-cultural and dynamic environment provides a great social life, I have made some incredible memory and friends during the course of my degree. I’m immensely happy and honored to be a part of this university.

It has been a truly invaluable learning experience for me. I want you to know that I have learnt so much from my faculties and my classmates. Our faculties gave constructive input and guidance throughout each lesson of the course. My friends helped me to understand where my strengths and weaker aspects lie.

I am thankful for getting the opportunity to work as President for Student Welfare Committee of our department as being in this department gave me tons of memories to cherish and infinite knowledge to expand and share.

Lastly I would like to thank my friends and faculties for making this course and the journey of three years so enjoyable.

Amity University…this name will always bring a smile to my face. It is a marvellous blend of educational, cultural, and knowledge diversity.

The faculty of AINN has helped me groom into a veracious individual through their encouragement and support to participate in the various extraordinary conferences and extracurricular activities held in and around the college.

The university gave me opportunity to enhance my leadership and management skills through my CR position. In my time in Amity, my peers, guides and the university were a gigantic supportive pillar against the various challenges experienced whilst managing the studies and the CRship.

The memories and bonds made will always be cherished.

The programmes offered by Amity Institute of Neuropsychology and Neurosciences (AINN) are extensively Neuroscience-oriented and are very stimulating. Courses adhere with the syllabi; course goals are clear and achieved to a significant extent.

The faculty members are interactive and supportive. Regular Mentor-Mentee meetings confirm this and we, students, can discuss our grievances and ideas. Faculties are enthusiastic about teaching and are interested in the students' academic progress.

The Institute demonstrated relatively good academic adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Classes and mentor-mentee meetings were held routinely on MS Teams platform.

The human brain has never failed to intrigue me with its marvellous capabilities and the extent to which it lets us fully comprehend them.

Undeniably, this course is the perfect means to learn and grow every single day into an individual with a zest for knowledge. Most importantly, the esteemed faculty members are always there to listen, to guide and counsel whether it's life that poses a challenge or academics that are beyond one's grasp.

AINN has been more than just an institution for me—it’s been a place of growth, learning, and self-discovery. I found not just academic guidance but also a sense of belonging. Dr. Anubhuti Dixit, my mentor, believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Her trust and guidance helped me grow in ways I never imagined. I’m deeply grateful to all the faculty members for their constant support and for instilling in me invaluable life lessons. And honestly, I couldn’t have made it without my classmates—they were my support system, my crew, and made being far from home a little easier. Thank you, AINN—forever grateful.

M.Sc. Neuroscience 2022-2024 batch

Pursuing my master’s at AINN, Amity University Noida, has been a very memorable phase of my academic journey. Being one of the limited neuroscience institutes in India, its lab facilities and course curriculum are very well designed. The experienced and knowledgeable faculty as well as the work environment gave me the opportunity to explore neuroscience from different perspectives from developmental neurobiology to behavioural neuroscience. I had the chance to work with in-vivo models like C. elegans, zebrafish, and rats, and gained hands-on experience in behavioural assays focused on neuropsychological and neurodegenerative conditions. The on-going projects and dissertation at AINN helped me build both technical skills and scientific curiosity, and I’m truly grateful for the support and exposure it gave me during those two years.
