INTERNSHIP FOR M.SC. AND B.SC. STUDENTS
The Laboratory of Amity Institute of Environmental Sciences, Amity Institute of Environmental Toxicology, Safety and Management offers graduation projects for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students in different themes. Below you can find a list of currently available area of research.
- Microbial Biodiversity and Bioremediation
- Identification of bioactive compounds and drug development
- Analysis of Persistent organic pollutants (POPS) Heavy Metals, Pesticides
- Leaching studies of environmental contaminants; Industrial Effluent and Sewage waste
- Electromagnetic radiation analysis studies from cell phones and biological contaminants
- Ambient air quality monitoring studies; SO2, NO2, O3, NH3, Chlorine, Bromine and Fluorine PM10, PM2.5
- Water Testing: BOD, COD, Physicochemical and Microbiological
- Comet assay and Tunnel Assay for Genotoxicity and DNA damage
- Environmental Monitoring through Remote Sensing
Duration
1-2 months and 5 to 6 months and one year
Eligibility
Students pursuing B.Sc. /M.Sc./B.Tech/M.Tech/ in Environmental Science, Microbiology, Marine Science, Oceanography, Botany, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Toxicology, Applied Science. Applicants should have maintained consistently good academic record
Guidelines for Students
- Candidates have to apply two months before the starting of internship
- For summer (May to June) by March 31st
- For six months (January to June) by November 31st
- For six months (July to December) by May 31st
- For one year before two months
- Student may indicate, if he / she wishes to work on a specific topic/area mention above.
- The shortlisted students will be informed through mail in a week.
- Shortlisted student(s) should provide their willingness to join Amity via e-mail within one week.
- While joining for the internship at Amity, it is mandatory to bring all original documents supporting the claims made in the application form and a copy of the supporting documents to be submitted.
- It is compulsory for each student, to submit a copy of his / her project work carried out at Amity in the form of project report.
- Internship students (summer / winter session) shall not be entitled for scholarship, medical facility and accommodation facility at Amity.
Note: Students may also undertake ongoing training at the institute under the specialized training course “Advanced Instrumentation”
