Convocation ceremony for the passed out students of year 2024 will be held on Thursday, Tuesday, 18 February 2025 at Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium, Sion (E), Mumbai.
Hon. President, AUM will confer the degrees and present the awards to the Medallists.

On-line Registration-cum Confirmation

It is mandatory for all the eligible students to register on-line at www.amity.edu/mumbai/convocation. Registration will open on 25th November 2024 and will close on 31st December 2024 as per the invitation letter sent to you by the Registrar Office.  No student will be allowed to enter the Convocation Hall without the confirmation slip of successful online registration on amizone. Students who fail to register online will not be permitted for any spot registration directly at the venue.

Please note that you must clear all outstanding dues, fees and library dues owing to the university. Otherwise, there will be an administrative “hold” on you, and you will not be able to register for the convocation ceremony.

Recipients who are not able to attend the Convocation and wish to have their degrees in absentia shall pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- to the University for the same. Degrees can be collected by the students themselves after the Convocation, or their degrees will be mailed by courier (choose correct option on amizone). You are therefore, requested to submit application for the same on www.amity.edu/mumbai/convocation, in case you are not attending the Convocation Ceremony. Register Online and give your complete and correct postal address on which your degree can be dispatched.

Things to carry

Print out of Confirmation slip of successful online registration on amizone for attending the convocation ceremony.

Dress Code

Convocation Ceremony is a solemn event. Graduands are strictly informed to wear decent and appropriate clothes for the event.
Therefore, Formal Dress should be worn for the function as indicated below:
Gents :
Lounge Suit/ Combination with a tie, Black Shoes and Socks.
Jeans/Tshirts are NOT PERMITTED.
Students not in proper dress-code will not be allowed to enter and will not be entertained for any reason.


Ladies :
Saree/ Salwar Suit/ Western (Blazer / Trousers)
Jeans/Tshirts are NOT PERMITTED.

Convocation Gowns / Caps

  • Registration Fee for attending: Rs 1600/- i.e., Gown Rent of Rs. 100 + Security deposit of Rs. 1000 + Convenience Charges+ Alumni Registration fees of Rs.500, should be completed along with payment. Non-payment or incomplete payment of registration fees will be considered as 'not registered' and they will not be allowed for entry in the convocation ceremony.
  • Students must return the Gowns after the Convocation program on the same day at the same reception desk from where they collected the Gowns.
  • Gown Security Amount: Rs 1000/- (refundable only after return of gowns/caps in proper condition, amount will be refunded in the same account from which online registration amount was paid through within 90 days)
  • Amount will be deducted according to missing/damaged Gown items.

Guests

  • The Recipient of the degree is allowed to bring only 1 guest along. Graduands are strictly advised not to make any requests for additional guests.

Timings

  • The Recipients of the degree, after receiving & wearing the convocation gown, will be seated in the convocation Hall by 1.00 pm.
  • The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind that the convocation will not be over before 7 pm.

Discipline

  • Graduands must sit at their allotted seat numbers only (in the convocation Hall).
  • All present in the convocation Hall will rise when the Academic Procession enters and when the Academic Procession leaves.
  • Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movements convocation Hall and perfect discipline will be maintained.
  • Recipients are not allowed to leave the convocation Hall until the ceremony is over and the Academic Procession has left the convocation Hall.
  • Thereafter, Degrees and Value Addition Certificates will be distributed/presented.

Car Parking

  • Graduands are strictly advised if they are coming by road, then to book an OLA/ UBER/ AUTO to the Venue and not come by their own vehicle as there is no parking facility at the venue. Graduands are responsible for their own car parking near the venue.
