Shimla
Shimla is a mesmerizing hill station in Himachal Pradesh, often called the Queen of Hills. It is also one of the top hill stations in India. Shimla is situated about 110 km from Mohali and 350 km from New Delhi. Shimla is also ideal spot for adventure sports like skiing, river rafting & trekking.
Kasauli
Kasauli is a beautiful, picturesque town and cantonment, situated in the district of Solan, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Even though there are a lot of unique attractions in Kasauli, it is primarily known for its scenic beauty and serenity. This town is accessible both from Mohali, which is 65km away and Shimla, which is 77km away from Kasauli. The most convenient way to travel to Kasauli is by train since it is a railway junction itself. The Kalka Mail, which is one of the most important trains in the country connecting cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Amritsar, is a great way to reach Kasauli, as the town is a mere 40 km away from the town of Kalka in Haryana. If one wants to reach by air, then Chandigarh Airport is the nearest airport from where you can easily hire cars or avail buses to take you to Kasauli. Buses are also frequently available from Delhi and Chandigarh, making trips to Kasauli easy and convenient.
Morni Hills is a hill station situated on the outskirts of Panchkula in Haryana close to Chandigarh.

Amritsar, in Punjab’s northwest, is a historic and spiritual hub best known for its Golden Temple—Sikhism’s holiest shrine. Founded in 1577 by Guru Ram Das, it’s a city defined by devotion, Punjabi cuisine, colorful bazaars, and deep-rooted traditions. Amritsar lies roughly 220 km by road from Mohali. Amritsar is also known for its traditional Punjabi cuisine, bustling bazaars, and the historic Jallianwala Bagh.
The Rock Garden:
Located in sector 1 of Chandigarh, The Rock Garden is a massive open-air exhibition hall that displays sculptures made from urban and industrial wastes that have been designed and executed by Nek Chand, a former Road Inspector in Chandigarh. Also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden, this massive 40-acre garden is a colourful mosaic of art pieces and sculptures.
Sukhna Lake:
Nestled at the foot of Shivalik Hills, Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh paints a pretty picture. Stretching for a distance of 3 sq. km., Sukhna Lake is a man-made lake and is the only one of its kind in the city created in the year 1958 by damming the seasonal Sukhna Choe (Stream) that flows down the Shivalik Hills.
Pinjore Gardens is a beautiful Mughal Garden made in 17th Century India located in the city of Pinjore, in the district of Panchkula, Haryana. The garden expands over a massive area of 100 acres and is a beautiful place to unwind with nature in the ever-growing concrete city. The Pinjore garden is also known as Yadvinder Garden which is famous all over the world for its well-maintained greenery, refreshing fountains and mesmerising water bodies.
Chattbir Zoo, also known as Mahendra Choudhary Zoological Park, is a renowned zoological park located in Zirakpur near Mohali. Spanning over an expansive 202 acres of land, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, birds, and reptiles. A major highlight of Chattbir Zoo is its population of Royal Bengal Tigers, which attracts visitors from far and wide. In addition to tigers, the zoo boasts a wide variety of other species, including lions, leopards, elephants, deer, monkeys, and a myriad of bird species.
