OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of this session was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. Despite being a leading recruiter, TCS has seen relatively lower participation from our campus in past recruitment cycles. This session aimed to address this issue by enlightening students about the myriad opportunities available at TCS, including the Digital and Prime profiles. By inviting seasoned professionals from TCS to speak directly to our students, CRC sought to demystify the recruitment process, particularly the National Qualifier Test (NQT), and to encourage greater participation from AULC students in upcoming TCS recruitment drives.
TAKE HOMES:
The session delivered several key takeaways that will have a lasting impact on our students' career trajectories. Firstly, students gained a comprehensive understanding of TCS's recruitment process, including strategies to excel in the NQT. The experts emphasized the importance of skill development and certifications from global platforms like AWS, Microsoft, Google, and GitHub—credentials that can significantly enhance their employability. Additionally, the session shed light on the dynamic work culture at TCS, sparking a renewed enthusiasm among students to pursue careers with the company. The valuable insights shared by TCS professionals on navigating career paths in IT, coupled with practical tips on facing interviews and meeting the expectations of hiring panels, have undoubtedly equipped our students with a competitive edge in the job market.
