Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP) under the aegis of Amity University, Lucknow Camus has celebrated World Pharmacist Day 26th September 2024. The program was graced with the presence of Wg. Commander (Retd) Dr. Anil Tiwari, Dy Pro VC, AUUP-L, Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Mishra, Director AIP, AUUP-L and Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Joshi, Director VUCA studies, AUUP-L. The program was blessed with the honorary presence of worthy guests including Dr Naveen Kumar Dubey, Vice President Operation and Mr. Ankit Raj, Head QA Operations, Mediclin Clinical Services Pvt. Ltd, Lucknow and Dr Mahendra Gupta, Pharmacy Incharge, UP Govt. Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, Lucknow.
An awareness skit on “The role of pharmacists in ADR reporting” presented on stage by Phm D students of AIP, AUUP-L and a panel discussion moderated by Prof Manoj Joshi on the theme “Clinical Pharmacists and Patient Counselling” involving all revered guests were the major highlights of this event.
In addition to that several working models and rangoli created by Pharmacy students on the theme of World Pharmacists Day-2024 i.e “Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs” were also displayed in this event. The program ended with prize distribution ceremony held under various competitions on the 4 different themes of World Pharmacist Day-2024. In addition to that, students and faculties of AIP, AUUP, Lucknow also organized an IN-CAMPUS RALLY” to spread awareness on “Generic medicines and Reduction of drug abuse” at 10.00 am on 25.9.24 from AB-I Foyer, AUUP-L. This rally was inaugurated by Prof. Dr Anil Vashisht Sir, Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor AUUP-L.
