CONTEST MANUAL (RULES AND GUIDELINES)

These instructions contain the rules and guidelines that you will need to go through the five days investment competition organized by Amity International Business School with the help of Stock Gro platform for trading and investment.
Before you begin, you must keep this in mind that the amount of profits you make from your investments does will not matter when it comes to judging you for the contest. What will matter is your overall strategy and plan for investment. Secondly, you must understand that the virtual money assigned to you is not yours, it belongs to your client Jai Aggarwal (refer case study). So, you must handle the money carefully.

Case Study

Your Client, Jai Aggarwal, a 55-year-old entrepreneur from Mumbai, India, has built a remarkable career, becoming a successful businessman with a substantial global presence. After founding and growing a software company that revolutionized its niche, he sold it five years ago for ₹15,00,00,000. Since the sale, he has successfully transitioned from being a business owner to a seasoned angel investor, mentor to startups, and advisor to various technology-focused companies. Today, he enjoys a comfortable net worth of ₹30,00,00,000 in liquid assets, reflecting his hard work, strategic vision, and entrepreneurial success.

Throughout his career, Jai Aggarwal has developed an in-depth understanding of markets, emerging technologies, and investment opportunities. His technical background, coupled with his real-world experience in managing and scaling businesses, has provided him with unique insights into the rapid changes taking place in industries like software, biotechnology, clean energy, and artificial intelligence. These insights have guided his approach to investing, where he seeks to leverage both traditional and cutting-edge investment strategies.

In terms of his investment philosophy, Jai Aggarwal’s primary goal is to build a diversified portfolio that is designed for steady long-term growth. He is focused on creating a balance between sustainable returns and strategic risk management. With an investment horizon of 10-20 years, he aims to build a well-diversified robust portfolio with a right balance of risk and return across various industries and sectors.

Jai Aggarwal aims to build a portfolio that supports companies and projects focused on social impact while generating financial returns. His investment strategy includes a focus on renewable energy, climate tech, and healthcare innovations that address societal challenges, with sustainability playing an important, though secondary, role in his decisions.

The challenge for you being the fund managers is to develop a customized investment strategy that balances innovation, sustainability, and financial growth. The strategy must prioritize diversification, risk management, and long-term growth, while ensuring that Jai Aggarwal’s values are deeply embedded in the investment choices. By thoughtfully curating investments that align with his goals, you can create a strategy that not only seeks high returns but also contributes meaningfully to the global good.
