Prof. Soumitra Dutta, Dean, Said Business School, Oxford University U.K

Prof. Dutta is Peter Moores Dean and Professor of Management, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford.

Before joining the School in 2022, he was Professor of Management and the former founding Dean of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, New York. Previously, he was the Anne and Elmer Lindseth Dean of the Johnson Graduate School of Management (Cornell University) and a Deputy Dean at INSEAD. Soumitra is the Chair of the Board of the Global Business School and is on the advisory boards of several business schools including HEC Montréal (Canada), Centrum Catholica (Peru), University of Los Andes (Colombia), and ESADE (Spain). Previously he was the Vice Chair and Chair of AACSB International, the leading accreditation body for business schools worldwide.

He received a B. Tech. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, an MS in both business administration and computer science, and a PhD in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.

In 2017, he received the Distinguished Alumnus award from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Soumitra is an authority on innovation in the knowledge economy.

His research focuses on how to drive business innovation and growth through the right combination of people and technology. He is the founder and co-editor of fourteen editions of the Global Innovation Index which is published with the World Intellectual Property Organisation and is leading global assessment of national innovation capabilities. He has co-edited sixteen annual reports of the Global Information Technology Report for the World Economic Forum on the impact of information technology on development and national competitiveness. The Global Information Technology Report has been rebranded and published as the Network Readiness Index since 2019 by Portulans Institution.

Ms. Vicky Lester, Chief Executive Officer of The Case Centre, UK.

Ms. Lester joined The Case Centre in 1991 and has worked in many areas of the business, including sales, operations and systems. She was appointed Deputy Director in 2008 and worked alongside the previous Director on planning and implementing the organisation’s business strategy. Vicky regularly represents The Case Centre as a speaker and moderator at conferences, webinars and events around the world. She also enjoys reviewing and judging cases for a variety of case writing competitions. Vicky is Editor-in-Chief of The Case Centre's journal, Case Focus: The Journal of Business & Management Teaching Cases, Middle East and Africa Edition.

Prof. Kiran Trehan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Partnership and Engagement, University of York, UK

Prof. Kiran Trehan is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Partnerships and Engagement at the University of York and Director of the Centre for Women’s Enterprise, Leadership, Economy & Diversity.

She is a key contributor to debates on leadership, enterprise development and diversity in small firms and business. She had led a number of leaderships, enterprise and business support initiatives and has extensively published a number of journal articles, policy reports, books and book chapters in the field. Her work has been supported by grants from a full range of research funding bodies; including the Economic and Social Research Councils and Arts Humanities Research councils, government departments, regional and local agencies including Local Enterprise Partnerships and Chambers of Commerce and the private sector. I have also received invitations as Guest Editor from reputable international journals (Human Relations, Management Learning, International Small Business Journal), as well as national and international advisory roles that shape debates and policy in diversity and enterprise.

She has a national and international reputation in a senior research, impact capacity: publishing in peer reviewed journals of a high quality; being an invited professor/scholar in Europe and internationally, presenting at a range of policy and research events, conferences and symposia with policy-makers and community networks to pioneer and promote research, engagement and impact which facilitates widening participation. The research embeds the complementary concerns of practitioners, policy-makers and academics by converting academic insights into effective action, policy initiatives and sustainable impact.

In 2019 she was elected to be the President of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE). ISBE is the leading national body for SME research and policy learning.

She was invited to be one of the lead commissioners on the West Midlands Leadership Commission to lead a new research and policy agenda on leadership diversity for Andy Street Electoral Mayor and the West Midlands combined authority.

Dr. Anthony Manning, Director and Dean for Global and Lifelong Learning, University of Kent, UK

Dr Manning is a successful and experienced leader in applied higher education, lifelong learning and global engagement. As a departmental Director and portfolio Dean, he work across the multiple disciplines of the University of Kent and the varied avenues of my external networks. He thrive on identifying and realising opportunities for positive learner and employer experience in global education, degree apprenticeships, online learning and pathways to University. He is passionate about quality, access and diversity in Higher Education.

Prof. Sabu S. Padmadas, Associate Dean International, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Southampton, UK

Sabu S. Padmadas is a Professor of Demography and Global Health at the Department of Social Statistics and Demography and Associate Dean International of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Southampton.

He is the founding co-director of the Centre for Global Health, Population, Poverty and Policy, and the University India Centre for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development.

His research focuses broadly on population dynamics and global health including the application of demographic and statistical modelling of health and wellbeing outcomes in low-middle income and transition economies in Asia, Africa and Latin America. He has international expertise in programme impact evaluation and quantitative demography, census and survey data analysis.

A significant achievement of Padmadas’ academic career is the research spanning over a decade (since 2003) evaluating three cycles of a large-scale United Nations Reproductive Health and Family Planning programme in China, which generated high impact and policy response at the national level.

Padmadas has over 25 years academic experience, with an excellent record of research scholarship managing large international research projects funded by UK and International Research Councils/developmental agencies, over 85 peer-reviewed journal articles, and over 15 official reports for national and international organisations and statistical agencies.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals

A compassionate humanitarian, dedicated to bringing world-class healthcare within the economic and geographic reach of millions of patients' best describes Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group.

Dr. Reddy received his medical degree from the Stanley Medical College in Chennai and later trained as a Cardiologist in the UK and USA. He did his Fellowship from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston and went on to head several research programs at the Missouri State Chest Hospital, USA where he worked for several years before returning to India in 1971, at the behest of his father.

He received a number of esteemed awards and recognitions such as Mother St Teresa's 'Citizen of the Year Award', recognition in Harvard School publications for pioneering efforts in healthcare, 'Life Time Achievement Award' by Hospimedica International, the 'Asia Pacific Bio Business Leadership Award' by the University of Southern California, Modern Medicare Excellence Award by the ICICI Group for outstanding achievements in the healthcare industry and numerous others.

Dr Reddy is also a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award from Rotary International. In addition he has received Lifetime Achievement awards from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Association of Surgeons of India. He was also awarded the Alexandria – Frost & Sullivan 2010 India Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award. Marking a new beginning, the All India Management Association conferred the AIMA Lifetime Contribution Award upon Dr. Prathap C Reddy recently.

The Government of India honoured the pioneering spirit of the Apollo Hospitals Group with the release of a commemorative Postage Stamp.

Dr Prathap C Reddy was conferred with second highest civilian award, the 'Padma Vibhushan' in March 2010. This unequalled commendation from the Government of India is an acknowledgement of his untiring pursuit for excellence in healthcare as Apollo strives towards touching a billion lives.

Under Dr Reddy's leadership, the Apollo Group has undertaken philanthropic work through 'Save a Child's Heart Initiative' (SACHi), the CURE Foundation for cancer care, the Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF), 'Distance Healthcare Advancement' (DISHA), and many others that have touched the lives of several hundred thousand children, differently-abled people, cancer and brain trauma patients.

Dr. S K Jain, Apollo Hospital

Dr Sushil Kumar Jain is an experienced surgeon of Apollo Hospitals Indraprastha, Delhi specialises in laparoscopic and general surgery. Dr. Jain also offers guided assistance and surgical treatment of conditions that affect the appendix, large intestine, oesophagus, thyroid gland, and organs that come under the gastrointestinal tract. Till date, Dr Jain has performed the highest number of successful annual surgeries in his department.

He was one of those who started laparoscopic surgery in our country after having received formal training in the same from Middlesex Hospital, United Kingdom. He finished his super specialization in colorectal surgery from the world’s most prestigious St Mark’s Hospital, London. His experience, practice and training in the same field was further strengthened by his association with world famous colorectal surgeon Dr Pramod Kumar Jhawar as his associate surgeon at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai.

He has professional associations with renowned communities like the Royal Society of Health (London), the Hernia Society of India, the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-surgeons, Joint Secretary : Association of Daycare Surgeons’ of India, World Association of Hepato-pancreato Biliary Surgery, Association of Surgeons of India, Association of Colorectal Surgeons of India, Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Association of Surgeons of Assam, Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, Asia Pacific Hernia Society.

As a founding member of the well-known Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, Dr Jain is prominently known as the ‘Ambassador to the People of Assam.’ He is most heard by the print and electronic media in Assam for selflessly helping the patients.

He has got many prestigious awards like Dr. Ambedkar Sewashree National Award, Surgery Ratna Award and Sarawak Ratna Award. Dr. Jain was honoured by the Press Club of Guwahati in May 2011 as “Guest of the month”.

Prof. Martin Broad, Executive CEO consultant/Former Dean of a Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies, University of Winchester

Professor and former Dean of Business, Law and Digital Technologies at the University of Winchester, Chartered Management Accountant with extensive educational experience and research interests in Goverance and Performance Management in the Public Sector, particularly in Higher Education.

Member of the Chartered Association of Business School International Committee. Member of Council and Vice Chair of Council for Chartered ABS. Honorary Professorship from Amity University, India.

Prof. Simon S Smith, Principal Lecturer in Business, Management & Enterprise, Oxford Brookes University, UK

Dr Simon M Smith provides leadership in the subject area of Business and Management at Oxford Brookes University. He is also co-Director for the Research Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges (BSGC), and Associate Editor for the prestigious Employee Relations. He works closely with Programme Leads, Research Area Leads and Associate Deans to help talent manage both staff and students.

Simon teaches and researches across a range of subject areas and specialisms. He has expertise and interests in leadership and management, responsible management, human resource management, organizational behaviour, organizational analysis, and international business. His current research interests encompass organizational ambidexterity, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), PRME, global talent management, resilience, emerging-market economies, and training and development. Prof. Nick Petford, Former VC, University of Northampton, UK

Prof. Nick Petford, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Northampton. Previously he was Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) at Bournemouth University and before that Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Kingston University. He has also worked for BP and on academic and commercial research projects throughout the world.

Prof. Verma is a Professor in the Department of Safety, Chemistry and Biomedical laboratory sciences at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Haugesund, Norway. He has many publications to his credit.

Taha holds several non-executive director roles in the private sector and is an advisor to Charities in Britain.

Mr. Richard McCallum, Group CEO, UK India Business Council

Richard is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UK India Business Council. He joined in August 2013 and served as Vice Chairman before stepping up to CEO in October 2022. He is based at the UKIBC Business Centre, Gurgaon.

Professor Elsa Arcaute, UCL

Elsa Arcaute is a Professor of Complexity Science at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London, a fellow of the Turing Institute and an Honorary Professor at Hong Kong University. She holds a masters and a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Cambridge. Before joining UCL, she investigated processes of self-organisation in ant-colonies and social systems at the Complexity and Networks group at Imperial College. For the past 10 years, her research has focused on cities and urban systems in general, such as the emergence of hierarchies, the characterisation of resilience, the emergence of innovation and the modelling of coupled systems.

Prof (Dr.) Stefan Krummaker, Deputy Vice Principal (Education), Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), UK

Prof. Stefan is an enthusiastic leadership scholar with a doctorate degree in Organisational Behaviour and extensive knowledge in teaching and working with companies on Leadership, Followership, High Performance Teams and Organisational Energy. Moreover, he has many years of Higher Education Senior Leadership experience under his belt and held various leadership roles outside Higher Education. In his current role as Deputy Vice-Principal (Education) Stefan's responsibilities include the implementation of Queen Mary’s education strategy and leadership development for senior educational staff.

Over the past two decades he has taught leadership around the world to many thousand students in Bachelor, Master and E/MBA programmes with a very strong commitment to link leadership research with leadership practice and vice versa. Moreover, Stefan has worked with 50+ companies across the world supporting them to develop more inspirational, passionate, energising, effective and responsible leadership. This work includes executive coaching and consultancy work at C-level. Stefan is also frequently invited as a keynote speaker at universities, companies and conferences around the world

Prof. Peter Fussey, Director, School of Engineering and Informatics University of Sussex, UK

Prof. Fussey has been at the University of Sussex since 2016 (part time) and since 2022 (full time). He has now lead the Thermo Fluid Mechanic Research Group and my current research interests include Thermal Systems, Battery and Vehicle Energy Management, Model Predictive Control, Optimal Control, data analytics and Modelling. Prior to Sussex, He worked for over 25 years at Ricardo UK, an engineering consultancy where I led the Control Department for over 10 years. I have experience of developing hybrid & electric vehicle control, thermal system & powertrain control and on board diagnostics. Working on applications from scooters to passenger cars and commercial vehicles for many of the world's OEMs and suppliers. During this time I led the development of model predictive and optimal control algorithms combined with applications of data analytics. Prior to working on Control systems, He developed the Noise, Vibration and Harshness in vehicles, particularly focusing on Sound Quality and using simulation to improve the character of the engine sound. Before Ricardo, I worked in the Rail industry at British Rail Research and SNCF, where I tested the Eurostar train and studied railway acoustics.

Professor Shantanu Banerje, Professor of Finance, Lancaster University, UK

Professor Shantanu Banerjee, Professor of Finance & Director of the PhD programme at Lancaster. Professor Shantanu Banerjee joined as a Lancaster University in 2005 after finishing his doctoral studies at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He specialises in empirical research in Corporate Finance topics including the investment decisions of firms, financing choice, product market strategy, IPO, bankruptcy, executive compensation and corporate social responsibility. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, European Journal of Operational Research and Journal of Business Ethics. and organises several annual workshops and research events on Corporate Finance. Before starting the doctoral programme in Finance in HKUST, he studied in Economics in India and has an MPhil degree in Economics from Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India.
