My name is Sumriddhi Maheshwari, student of Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology, Gwalior. Currently pursuing my degree in Bachelors in Design 8 Semester. In last 3 years Amity has provided us with ample number of opportunities such as workshops which lead us to gaining knowledge and learning new techniques. Also, the internships which is helping us to understand how the work has been practically done in fashion industry. I am currently pursuing my internship under Label Yani which is a clothing brand under Jayshree Exclusive this brand is all about culminating Indian craftsmanship with new age design keeping in mind the customers’ demands to create an outfit of their dreams. It works in all three categories i.e., women’s wear, men’s wear and kids wear. And majorly focuses upon Indian Fusion wear. My job in their brand is to design and also look after customer handling and sales. In first 2 weeks I have been learning about their brand and dealing with customers and understanding their requirements and giving them suggestions about current trends in fashion, fabric sourcing, colour matching and visiting dyers was the part of my job. All these field work has given me lot of confidence and great learning experience. I would always be grateful to all my faculties and industry mentor for guiding and supporting at every step and being the part of my wonderful journey at Amity.
