Convocation Guidelines | Amity University

The XIIth Convocation of Amity University Haryana, for the students who have successfully completed their Academic Programs in 2025, will be held on 14 January 2026 at Plenary Hall, Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

On-line Registration-cum Confirmation

It is mandatory for all the eligible students to register on-line at www.amity.edu/gurugram/convocation latest by 12 January 2026 as per the letter sent by Registrar Office. On the day of the Convocation, the students should first report to reporting desk, Plenary Hall, Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. to mark their presence and collect token for Gown.

The graduands who cannot attend the Convocation, due to any reason, and wish to collect their Degree later, will have to apply through Amizone after one month of the completion of the Convocation. A retention charge of Rs. 1000/- per year will have to be paid by such students.

The following instructions are to be strictly adhered to during the Convocation: -

Dress	Formal Dress will be worn for the function as indicated below: Gents : Formal / Business Casuals with Shoes & Socks. Ladies : Formal Indian/Western outfit/Business Casual.
Guests	A Recipient of the Degree is allowed to bring maximum of two guests. Registration of guests also is compulsory on Convocation registration portal. Only parents, blood relations (brother/sister) or spouse of the recipient are allowed. Children below 15 years of age are not allowed. Dress regulations will apply to guests also.
Participation	Students whose confirmations are not received by 12 January will not be allowed directly to attend the Convocation. Students, who have confirmed, are required to report at the stipulated time given in para 1.
Convocation Gowns / Caps	All the graduands will be issued gown sets at the Convocation Venue and they will wear it throughout the function. Gowns will be returned by them after the Convocation on the same day at the issuing/collection counter. The payment option for gown rental and security is available through Registration Link. Payment for Gown is Rs 1100/- (Rs. 1000/- refundable##) ## If Complete Gown Set is returned; otherwise, amount will be deducted depending upon the missing part of the set.
Timings	The Recipients of the Degrees, after registration by the stipulated time, will be seated in the Convocation seating area by 10.30 AM for further Instructions. Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movement in the Convocation Hall and perfect discipline will be maintained. The Recipients are not to leave the Convocation Hall before the function is over, and the Academic Procession has left the stage. The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind that the Convocation will not be over before 6.30 PM.
Academic Procession	All present in the Convocation venue will rise in their seats when the Academic Procession enters and leaves the Hall.
Lunch	Lunch will be served to all students and guests, once the main Convocation is over. Students who are coming along with their guardians are requested to please ensure that they mention it in Online Registration so that necessary arrangements can be made and courtesy can be extended to them.
Degrees/Marksheets/Value Addition Courses Certificates	The Degrees, Marksheets and Value Addition Certificates will be presented by the respective HOIs at designated venues.
Photography	Photography facility will be available for the Graduands if they wish to get themselves photographed.

The Degree distribution will start from 2.30 pm at the designated venues. All the Graduands, therefore, are advised to reach their designated seats latest by 2.15PM.

Briefing for Degree/Diploma Distribution	02:15 PM to 02:25 PM
Degree/Diploma Distribution at specified venues	02:30 PM to 05:00 PM
Individual Photograph, Return of Convocation Gowns (After Degree Distribution Ceremony is over)	05:00 PM to 06:00 PM

After the Degree Distribution Ceremony, the Gown is to be returned at the Gowns Collection Counter. The refund of Gown Security deposit will be made online into the same account from which the security amount was paid by the Graduands. The process is subject to checks & verification and is likely to take almost a month.
