Students of which schools are eligible to take part in the competition?
The competition is open to current bonafide students of University/Colleges from any part of the World. In the School Section, competition is open to current bonafide students of secondary school, higher/senior secondary school, that is from standard/class 9th to 12th from any part of the World.

What language must be used during the competitions?
The medium of communication will be English. However, if a student is not comfortable with English then, he/she can use Hindi.

Is there any entrance or registration fee?
There is no entrance fees, however, there is individual registration fees for different competitions as specified in the competition guidelines. Outsiders/visitors are not allowed, however there’s an individual and group registration fee for outside participation in different competitions specified in the competition guidelines in competition categories section.

How do I enter the competition?
There are 15 categories/domains of competitions. You can browse through each category of competitions and then decide which competition you want to enter. Or alternatively, you can select the category you would like to compete in and select a competition within the category to enter as a competitor.
Please read the guideline of the competition. Once you are sure about a specific competition you want to enter, you click the 'registration' button which will take you to the registration page where you must fill an online form. After you have filled the form click the button 'submit.'
In case you have chosen to compete in more than one competition, then you must register again for each competition you have chosen to compete.

Can I enter more than one competition?
You can enter more than one competition of your choice. However, please go through the schedule to find if there are any conflict of dates or time between the competitions you have chosen.
As the introductory session for all competitions will be from 11:30am to 12noon, you may be present only for an introductory session of one competition. Please inform the faculty or student coordinators of other competitions you have chosen to compete of your situation.

I do not have the school ID Card. What should I do?
In the absence of school ID Card, please upload scanned copy of any other school identification document like, last fee receipt, etc.

I attend a school outside India. Am I eligible
You are eligible if you are a student of standard/class 9th to 12th.

Can I enter the competition as a team?
Please check the competition guideline. In some competitions team entry may be permitted. However, only leader of the team will have to register for each member of the team.

Who are the competition judges, and what are they looking for?
Please check the competition guideline. Generally, judges are Professors of the University or experts in their field.

I made a mistake when I uploaded my poster/essay/etc! Can I upload it again?
Please check the guideline of the competition. Generally, only one submission is accepted from each participant. If you have accidentally submitted your submission twice, we will accept only the last submission that you have submitted.

Can I include images in my essay?
Please check the guideline of the competition. Generally, we cannot accept images. This is because we follow strict guidelines to prevent any copyright infringements.

I have a great idea for an essay/poster, but I'm not sure it is relevant to the topic. What should I do?
Essay or Poster that show "outside of the box thinking" can be good for a number of reasons – they can grab the judges' attention and can be really interesting for the audience. However, if it is too far detached from the topic, it won't be considered. In such a case be sure to explain why you think your essay/poster is relevant.

How will I know if I am the winner?
List of winners shall be displayed on the AYF’2024 website within one week (minimum) of the fest.

If I win what award I will receive?
The winner/s will receive 'Merit Certificate'. All participants will receive 'Participation Certificate'.

Will I get a feedback on my performance/submission?
Due to the high number of submissions we receive, it is unlikely that we will be able to provide individual feedback about a performance or submission.
