Prof. (Dr.) Jogiswar Goswami

Prof. (Dr.) Jogiswar Goswami working as Officiating Head at Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (ASPESS) and AIU Sports Coordinator of Amity University Uttar Pradesh. He holds a Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, M. Phil (University Topper), Ph.D. from Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior and NET (UGC). He worked as a ‘Head of the Department’ of Physical Education at Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences and ‘Acting Head’ of (ASPESS). He is one of the founder members of (ASPESS). He has 24 years of teaching experience in Physical Education and is associated with Amity Universe since 1999. He was a National Gold and Bronze medalist in Gymnastic and Aerobics and four times Assam State Champion in Gymnastic and state medalist in Judo and Best physique and had played more than 12 Nationals. He has also produced medalist in Delhi State, Nationals and Internationals in Gymnastic and Aerobics from Amity International School, Saket. His area of interest is in Training & fitness, Sports Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine. He was also a personal trainer for many Bollywood Celebrities. He had authored 16 books and co-authored One book in Physical Education.

He has successfully guided 6 scholars in M. Phil and 7 scholars in Ph.D. 4 scholars are pursuing their Ph. D under his guidance. He also provided his services as an expert/resource person in various organizations like Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, Delhi University, Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Banaras, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, NCERT Delhi and CBSE Delhi. He also working as a Convener of the Sports and Physical Education committee of CBSE (2017- 2020). He acted as Chairperson / Co-Chairperson in many National and International seminars and presented and published more than 45 research papers. He has also conducted more than 40 workshops all over the country in the area of Ergonomics, Physical Education, Life skills and Motivation. He is also a musician by passion-and had performed more than 300 Shows at national and international level. He also got the privilege and honor by launching 05 successful musical albums. He also plays more than 30 musical instruments.



  Dr. Rajesh Dhauta

Dr Rajesh Dhauta is working as Associate Professor in Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Amity University, Noida since 2007. He has done his Bachelor of Physical Education, Master of Physical Education, Master of Philosophy from 1997 to 2003 and PhD in 2013 from the renowned Institute of Physical Education of South Asia, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, M.P. India - (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India). His area of interest is, in Sports Management, Sports Training, Fitness and Wellness. He was the member and Captain of the of the University team who was consecutively six years winner in West Zone Inter University competitions from 1998 to 2003. He was also the member and Captain of the university team participated consecutively six years in All India University Competitions and won Silver Medal in 1998 and Secured 4th Position in the Competition in 2002. He played various National Level Competitions in Volleyball as a member and Captain of the team for Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh whereas the team won Gold Medal in SGFI in 1997-98. He was also selected for School Asian Games was held at Macau, China. He was awarded by Himachal Pradesh Govt. for his outstanding performance in sports in 1996 and 1997. He also played Tennis and Squash in University and State level competitions. He has also published 14 research papers in National and International Journals. Dr. Inder Singh Pal is working as Associate Professor & Proctor (AUUP) and core member of   SDC-Student Disciplinary Committee (AUUP-ASPESS. He holds B.P.E (3 years), M.P.E (2 years), and M.Phil (One year) as a regular scholar from Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (Ministry of Youth affairs Govt. Of India) Gwalior MP. Successfully Completed Ph.d. from Krukshetra University, qualified NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC (University Grants Commission).

 Successfully completed UGC sponsored Orientation course and awarded with grade 'A', from UGC-Academic Staff College, Delhi University, and also successfully completed UGC Refresher Course From Punjabi University Patiala with grade 'A', In addition he has also successfully completed - M.A. (Degree) in Mass Communication and Journalism from Alagappa University.

  Dr. Ashwani Saini

Dr. Ashwani Saini has been working as an Assistant professor - III at Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences since 7th July 2008. He holds a master’s degree in physical education from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (Haryana). He has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) Conducted by U.G.C (Govt. of India). He has completed and awarded PhD Degree in physical education from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh with A+ Grade for the research work titled as “PERCEPTION OF COACHES AND PLAYERS TOWARDS THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN TENNIS PLAYERS SUCCESS”. He has also completed NIS Diploma in Sports Coaching (Tennis) from NS NIS, SAI South Centre, Bangalore. In additional he has also been awarded a certification of ITF level I & Level II course in Sports Coaching by AITA & International Tennis Federation.

He has more than 13 years of teaching experience in physical education and 16 years of coaching experience in tennis. His area of interest & expertise includes Test and measurement in physical education, Physical fitness & wellness, ICT in physical education and sports sciences, sports training, Sports sociology, health education and Tennis. He has authored more than 19 Research paper with many reputed and peer reviewed journal such as web of science and UGC listed journal of national and international level. He has also written a textbook - on Health and physical education.

He has Organized numerous sports events of tennis as a referee such as Talent series, super series, Inter DPS tennis Tournament and Inter state championship under the aegis of All India tennis association and He has successfully organised the North Zone and All India Inter zone tennis Tournament for women as a technical coordinator and Joint Organizing secretary at Amity University, Noida.

He has successfully contributed towards the management of the institutions in various roles such as placement cell coordinator, Mentor Mentee system coordinator, Organising secretary AIU sports competitions, QAE and Institutions quality and assurance cell member, technical coordinator of Sangathan- Inter-Institution sports event and secretary Club committees. He has contributed towards the professional development of the institution by organising numerous conferences, workshops, seminars, guest lectures. He has strong collaborations with the industry and other reputed universities as he has been delivered the responsibility of external examiner of several prestigious universities such as Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Delhi Pharmaceutical University, Delhi.

He has been always an outstanding sports person and his sports achievements includes winner of inter collegiate tournaments and a bronze medal at State Championships. He has represented his university three times as captain in Inter University tournaments and played many national tournaments under the aegis of All India Tennis Association.

To his credit he has attended several workshops, conferences and completed orientation and refresher courses in physical education and sports sciences. He also presented many research papers at national and international level seminars and conferences.


  Dr. Ajit Kumar

Dr. Ajit is working as an Associate Professor in Amity School of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh. He is holding Ph.D degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from University of Delhi for his study on Public Perception of Commonwealth Games-2010 as a senior research fellow (SRF).

 

His core competency area is in Organizational Behavior in Sports, Teaching Pedagogy. He has the experience of working with international funded research projects (two completed, two ongoing) as Co-Principal investigator, working in association with international organizations like Special Olympics, American Institute of Research (AIR), Pretoria University, South Africa, Malaysian University, Asian Institute of Technology, (AIT),  in the area of sports promotion among intellectually disabled children in India.

Successfully guided Ph.D scholars in the area of physical education and sports sciences, and has also published research papers in various international journals of repute and national journals indexed Scopus, Web of Science and UGC Care list.   

He is at present the convenor for CBSE physical education curriculum committee and has been involved with national educational organizations like NIOS for course material development, KVS for SBSB fitness program and also with SAI for Khelo India school fitness assessment training program.

He is also responsible for coordinating with AIFF for conduct of various license courses at Amity Campus for physical education graduates.

A qualified AIFF License Football coach, attended introductory coaching license course from AFC, have been associated as coach for Delhi School team qualified for Subroto Mukherjee Football Championship. Currently contributing with state football club in Delhi and manager of Amity University Football Team.

He hold a certificate course in Yoga from NIS, Patiala, along with experience of practicing yoga demonstration in Europe and may other parts of the country.  

 

During his college days, he has the honor of representing Clubs in DSA League Championships, University of Delhi in Inter University Championships and Delhi state in National Championship. He is also a proud member of Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 as a Master Trainer for volunteers training program and contributing towards successful training of thousands of volunteers.


  Dr. Pankaj Pandey

Dr. Pankaj Pandey is working as Assistant Professor-III at Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. He holds a master’s degree in physical education from Luckmow Christian College (Lucknow). He has completed M.Phil from Annamalai University. He has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) examination for Lectureship conducted by U.G.C. He has also done Diploma in Sports Coaching (Cricket). In addition, he has completed M.Com. and P.G. Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication. He has represented Purvanchal University in the East Zone Intervarsity Cricket Competition and represented U.P. State Cricket team. Besides this he is also a qualified Level A Cricket Coach recognized by Board of Control for Cricket in India. Dr. Malika Sharma, is working as Assistant Professor - II at Amity School of Physical Education & Sports Sciences. She holds a Graduate Degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship from University of Delhi, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed (University Gold medalist) and Ph.D from University of Delhi, India and qualified UGC-NET. I am Dr. Pooja Mishra. Currently working in Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh as Assistant Professor in School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences since January 2020.

I am gold medalist in Bachelor’s (2007) and Master’s degree (2009) in Physical Education from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

 I have done my PhD entitled “A Study Predicting Performance on the Basis of Selected Psychological Characteristics of Challenged Swimmers” ((2014).

 I have qualified the UGC-NET/JRF exam in December, 2008.

I have experience of teaching for 1.5 years in LNIPE, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh since July 2016 to April 2018.

  Dr. Moirangthem Ebhion Singh

Dr Moirangthem Ebhion Singh is working as Assistant Professor in Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Science at Amity University, since 2020. He has done his Bachelor of Physical Education, Master of Physical Education and PhD in 2010 to 2020 from the best institute of physical education, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, MP India. Also qualified NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC. He is specialized in Health Education and Weightlifting as theory and Game respectively.

He has been always an outstanding sports person and win Gold Medal in All India Sainik School Football Tournament. He also participated Two times in All India University Competition (Weightlifting). His is doing a brilliant in extra curriculum like Inter University Dance Completion in 2014 and 2015, holding the NCC both A and B certificates.

Dr. Sonica Gill is working as Assistant Professor in Amity University Uttar Pradesh since 2021.

  Dr. Pankaja Pandey

Dr. Pankaja Pandey has joined as an Assistant Professor at Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences on 14th February 2022. She holds a Ph.D. Degree in physical education from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh with A+ Grade for the research work titled as “DEVLOPMENT OF A MODEL TO ASSESS PHYSICAL EDUCATION LEARNING AT SCHOOL LEVEL”.  She has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) Conducted by U.G.C (Govt. of India). She completed her Masters in Physical Education from University of Mumbai and She holds Bachelor degree in Physical Education as well as  B.TECH in Electrical Engineering. 

She has a strong background in people management and administrative responsibilities with excellent written and communication skills. She has 04 years of teaching experience in physical education and 9 years of experience in industry. Her area of research & expertise includes curriculum development in physical education, Biomechanics, Physical fitness & wellness, ICT in physical education and sports sciences, and Athletics. Dr. Anulekha Dey is working as assistant professor grade – I, in Amity School of Physical Education and sports science Amity University Uttar Pradesh since 17 May 2022. She is holding Ph.D degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from Amity University, Noida for her PhD title was “EFFECT OF AQUATIC TRAINING PROGRAM ON SENSORY PARAMETERS FOR CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY” in year 2021 with subject specialization of Health Education and Adapted Physical Education. She completed her master’s degree (M.P.Ed.) in the year 2015 from DAVV with Badminton specialization, Indore, and bachelor’s (B.P.Ed.) degree from LNIPE, Gwalior in the year 2013 with Swimming specialization.

Her core competency area are Organization in Sports and Projects, research with para athletes and special children also holds good communicating skill. Work experience comprises, Teaching experience 5 years of teaching experience and 2.5 years of project experience as a Research Associate worked in association with international organizations like Special Olympics, Asian Institute of Technology, (AIT), in sports promotion among intellectually disabled children in India. She is a certified Technical Official in Para Swimming India. Dr. Prakhar Rathore, Working as an Assistant Professor, ASPESS Department of Amity University. He is a National Champion who has won several medals in National Gymnastics Championship and All India Interuniversity Gymnastics Championship, Junior National and Sub Junior National; he has also attended India camp in Artistic Gymnastics. He is a Level – 1 Coach in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Certified by Federation International of Gymnastics. Apart from his achievements in Gymnastics, he is dedicating his life to be a beneficiary to Indian Gymnastics.
