In the field of education, Amity University has created a brand which stands incredible. As a part of Amity, Amity School of Economics (ASE) commenced its first batch in BA (Hons) Economics in the year 2009. ASE branched out with its bachelor’s programme with an extensive course structure divided over 6 semesters. The programme commenced with 19 students which has today grown to a staggering strength of over 200 students. Since, 2009 the department has witnessed significant growth with the establishment of MA Economics programme in 2010, B.A (Hons.) Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) in 2011 and PhD (full time/part time) in 2013.
At ASE it is our endeavour to create an institution with vision. The program at ASE is devised to create & cradle a new class of budding academicians & professionals, whose strong foundation is laid through the multi-disciplinary framework- which besides including pure Economics has a designed bent towards, Mathematics, Statistics, operation research Management, FINANCE, business law, econometrics, Environment & Politics . The environment here is disciplined & rigorous, at the same time giving plenty of scope for creativity, originality & student initiatives.
Amity School of Economics provides strong foundation in economic theory and practice with an inter-disciplinary flavour that will prepare students for careers in organizations such as financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, government and non-government organizations etc.
