Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) is Asia’s only premier research Institute and autonomous organization under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The Institute was established on July 1979 with the vision to develop the poor men’s cow - the goat as a source of livelihood security, poverty alleviation and employment generation for the smallholders. The Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute is a premier institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Institute is engaged in research, training and extension activities on sheep and rabbits. Major objectives of the institutes are undertaking basic and applied research on all aspects of sheep production, develop, update and standardize meat & fibre technologies, impart trainings on sheep production and utilization, transfer improved technologies on sheep production to farmers, rural artisans and development workers, provide referral and consultancy services on production and products technology of sheep. Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary Education & Research (PGIVER), Jaipur was approved under 12th five year plan by Govt. of Rajasthan in 2012 as a constituent PG college of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner. Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) formerly Gujarat Agricultural University is a State Agricultural University in of Gujarat state started functioning in June 1972. It is approximately 30 KM from Palanpur town in Banaskantha District. University functions in seven districts of North Gujarat region viz., Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Kachchh and Aravalli. Nimbkar Agriculture Research Institute (NARI) is a nonprofit research and development institute established in 1968. It is situated in the rural town of Phaltan in Maharashtra state. The institute undertakes research mainly in agriculture, renewable energy, animal husbandry and sustainable development. NARI has sophisticated facilities for semen-freezing, parasitology, nutritional research and molecular biology. The institute has also been recognized for Ph.
