In an effort to inculcate scientific temperament and encourage research & innovation amongst children, as envisaged by Chairperson Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, the school organises Amity Children Science Congress titled Vasudha and Mathamity every alternate year. Under this initiative, children are encouraged to prepare small do-able projects in Science and Maths. The shortlisted projects are then sent to various national and international forums namely National Children Science Congress (NCSC), Initiatives for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS), CSIR exhibitions and so on.
Under the guidance of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, the school organised an enigmatic Mathamity exhibition on August 19, 2017. The event with the theme, ‘Math is fun’, promoted activity based learning and propelled students to achieve high standards in the field of Mathematics. Chairperson graced the occasion with her presence and lauded the efforts put in by the students to make the event a great success.
The school premises adorned great hues with innovative projects and exhibits based on challenging themes like ‘Board Games, Math in Dance, Math in Karate, Tangrams, Fibonacci Series, Equating Tic-Tac-Toe, Vedic Suduko Algorithm on Cubes, Quartos, Sequences, Metro routes’. School Principal Valambal Balachandran expressed her joy and satisfaction on the skillful and creative presentation of the students, who had forced themselves to think beyond the text books and could co-relate the subject with real life. She stated her elation over the interesting presentation of students on contemporary topics and the event’s overall success.
