Amity Global Research Hub Launched in New York to Strengthen India–US Research and Innovation Partnerships

New York, August 21, 2026: The Amity Global Research Hub (AGRH) was inaugurated at the Consulate General of India, New York, marking an important step towards strengthening India–United States collaboration in science, technology and innovation. The launch was held under the theme “Shaping the Future through Emerging Technologies.”

AGRH has been envisioned as a global research platform connecting universities, researchers, industry, innovators and other stakeholders across India, the United States and the wider international ecosystem. The Hub aims to facilitate collaborative research, knowledge exchange, innovation and technology-led solutions to global challenges.

The inauguration featured the unveiling of the AGRH website and research brochure, followed by discussions on research partnerships, innovation and emerging technologies. Distinguished academic and research stakeholders from institutions including Rutgers University, Georgia Institute of Technology, CUNY, Long Island University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the National Cancer Institute participated in the programme.

Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University and Chairman, AGRH, highlighted the importance of globally connected research ecosystems in addressing complex technological and societal challenges. AGRH seeks to serve as a bridge between India’s growing research strengths and talent and the extensive academic, scientific, technological and entrepreneurial ecosystem of the United States.

The Hub will focus on emerging areas including artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, advanced materials, biotechnology, healthcare technologies, cybersecurity, space technologies, and clean and sustainable technologies, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary and international collaboration.

Prof. (Dr.) W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation, emphasised the role of multidisciplinary collaboration in translating research and discovery into innovation, technology development and societal impact.

Located in New York, AGRH will benefit from access to a dynamic ecosystem of universities, research institutions, technology companies, healthcare organisations, start-ups, investors and global talent. A key priority will also be to create opportunities for young researchers, students, scientists and innovators to participate in international research networks and collaborative initiatives.

The launch of AGRH represents another milestone in Amity’s efforts to strengthen the India–US knowledge and innovation partnership. In the long term, the Hub aims to become a platform where global partnerships lead to tangible outcomes in research, technology development, innovation, entrepreneurship and capacity building, contributing to a future shaped by collaboration, technology and knowledge.
