About Amity's Agriculture & Horticulture Programs

The primary focus of AIOA - Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture (established in 2005) is to bring forth a paradigm shift from chemical-heavy farming to organic agriculture, while following safe and sustainable farming practices. To meet this goal, the institute provides comprehensive education, management training, and world-class research opportunities.

The Amity Institute of Horticulture Studies and Research was established in 2014 to address India's post-harvest losses in fruits and vegetables. It offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Horticulture with a focus on post-harvest technology. It aims to develop skilled professionals who can reduce food waste and improve agricultural productivity through research and sustainable practices.

The industry-aligned curriculum of the programs offered by both institutes is at par with international standards. The admission process for PG and UG programs commences in January/February. The application form is available for a non-refundable fee of Rs.1,500/-. Applicants can apply online by clicking here.

The Admission Microsite is a platform for two-way communication between students and the University. You can access the Admission Microsite (https://portal.amity.edu/login.aspx) using the Form number and Password issued to you when filling out the Application Form

Yes, students may apply provisionally for any program, but must produce all original Mark sheets/Degrees when joining the Program. For PG Program applicants, October 31st (of the current academic year) is the deadline to submit original Mark sheets/Degrees. Your verification will remain incomplete if you fail to submit the required documents. Without verification, you will not be permitted to appear for end-semester examinations.

An applicant can apply for as many programs as desired. However, a separate form must be filled out for each program. Please note that you cannot apply for the same program twice in the same academic year.

Yes, Amity provides comprehensive hostel facilities (AC and Non-AC) for boys and girls separately within the University campus.

Non-Sponsored - Standard eligibility criteria and cut-off in the admission process. Non-Sponsored is the general category for all applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria and is also a high merit category.

Sponsored Category - Reduced eligibility criteria (where applicable) and cut-off in the admission process with a differential fee structure. The Sponsored category is essentially a lower merit category with higher fees. Please note:

  • Requests for category changes will only be entertained prior to appearing for the Selection Process.
  • The Admission Committee may recommend your admission in a category different from what you applied for in the Application Form. In such cases, you may accept or decline the offer.

Amity University follows a semester system in accordance with global practices and standards. Students must maintain minimum SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) and CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) to advance to the next semester and qualify for a Degree/Diploma.

There are several global exposure programs for students at Amity University, Noida. Three of these are mentioned below.

Study Abroad Program: Students get to travel to Amity University overseas campuses in Dubai, New York, London, and Singapore for 5 weeks towards the end of their degree.

3-Continent Program: Students study across 3 continents - Asia, North America, and Europe. They spend one semester (six months) studying across Amity’s partner international universities in the US & UK and the rest of their program duration at Amity University, Noida. Students generally get certifications from at least two foreign universities in the 3-continent program.

International Degree Program: Students start their study program at Amity University Noida and then transfer to a partner university in one of the following countries - US, UK, Canda, Australia, or New Zealand. Candidates who opt for this program earn an international degree from a reputed university at a significantly reduced price.
