ABOUT AMIMUN CLUB
We are the MUN Club of Amity University a group of motivated and sincere students interested in the art of Diplomacy and the world of International Relations. We proudly represent Amity International Model United Nation (AMIMUN) conference which is one of the biggest MUNs in Delhi hosted and organised by Amity University. We work hard and train diligently to experience, exchange, negotiate, represent and learn all that there is. Rich with practical experience and lead by seasoned MUNers, we strive to bring out the best in each member of this club and promote the basic values of the United Nations. The talent is there and the future clear: We want to continue our MUN journey into the future with more experience and motivation and belief in our fellow young student diplomats.

OBJECTIVES:
- To tap the potential MUNers/debaters looking for a platform to make their voice heard
- Help the students nurture their skills
- Create a pool of MUNers for future such conferences
- To involve interested students into the world of International politics and relations
- Offer support and workshops to shape the youth leaders of tomorrow
- Promote the concept of MUNs and engage more and more students in this activity

FUNCTIONS:
- The MUN Club will offer training sessions which will regularly take place during the academic semester
- To give newcomers a chance to get an insight into MUNing and to learn the procedures and basic skills that are needed to successfully participate in MUN conferences
- To form a base of MUNers for future AMIMUN conferences both as delegates and secretariat members
- To help the students participate in other MUN conferences by providing the required training

Welcome to Amity International Model United Nations Club!
Cognizant of the Amity vision towards holistic and overall development, the
AMIMUN
Club is part of the continuous effort to accomplish this goal. We seek to
produce
leaders of the highest order, by means of engaging them with MUNs as a tool for
self-development.
MUNs over the past decade have managed to transform into a mainstream
extra-curricular activity. The primary reason behind this widespread acceptance
is
the amount of rigour involved; as MUNs are not only verbal debates but a clash
of
core ideas and their application to the real world. A peculiar aspect of MUNs is
the
focus on actionable change, something I believe is especially important as it
lays a
clear focus on problem-solving instead of abstract, principled debate. This
focus on
problem-solving is what sets MUNs apart from other activities since MUNs
actively
incentivizes the creation of a wide knowledge base and develops clarity of
action. I
believe MUNs to be intrinsically valuable as an activity for any student looking
to
improve their public speaking skills, knowledge base or their approach towards
solving real-world problems.
The AMIMUN Club takes up the initiative to promote the culture of MUNing within
the
confines of Amity University, by actively engaging students via means of
Training
Sessions and Intra-MUNs alike. Possessing one of the largest student member
bodies,
the AMIMUN Club has grown leaps and bounds since its inception in 2012. Not only
is
this stellar growth a sign of MUNs being accepted widely among the student body,
but
also of a successful effort to enrich student minds by imbibe the values and
ideals
of MUNs into the student population. We, at the AMIMUN club, will continue to
strive
towards perfection and are proud to be at the forefront of this mission

the burgeoning culture of MUNs within Campus. Over the past few years,
AMIMUN has
managed to train and motivate eminent student MUNers who have since
garnered
Awards
and Recognition not just as delegates but also as Executive Board to
multiple
Conferences.
At the AMIMUN Club, we believe in guiding and mentoring our fellow
students
and
peers in the Art of MUNing. Since my maiden year in college, the club
has
been
extremely successful in motivating the student body to take the
initiative
to take
up MUNing through a series of training sessions and seminars.
Led by seasoned MUNers, we strive to bring out the best within
individuals,
and not
only cultivate their growth as competitive MUNers, but also as
individuals
who are
aware of their social-political environs. We wish to continue this
