Present day students of new millennium like to make informed decisions on their own and plan their future career based on information that is available by click of mouse. Employers expect students to have multi-disciplinary competency and leadership skills. Realizing this changing scenario and current needs, Amity University offers the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in its academic curriculum as per the UGC 11th Plan proposal, in its endeavor to provide quality education. Under this new system the students can register for courses according to their interests and academic abilities. CBCS allows students to decide their academic plan and permits them to alter it, if required, in their academic progression in pursuit of degree.
The curriculum of the programmes is constantly evolving to respond swiftly to new learning opportunities and lead the development of new areas within the curricula. Inputs from students, alumni, course faculty and employers are regularly taken into consideration through curriculum feedback. Regular industry interface gives the idea of new demands & requirements from the industry. Analysis of current trends in the market and benchmarking of the curricula with other institution and Universities is also regularly done.
Courses in Communication Skills, Personality Development, Foreign language and Behavioral Science that help in preparing the students for the professional world are included as Value added Courses (VAC) in the programmes. Other than academics, the seven days compulsory Military Training Camp is an integral part of the personality Enhancement Module.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with two French Universities EI PURPAN and Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and another with Lakehead University, Canada to establish a long-term institutional partnership in education and research. The main objectives of this collaboration are to promote engagement and exchanges between faculty and students, to explore joint research programs, and to share expertise and experiences.

The school has been organizing a number of seminars and training workshops for IFS officers and other senior officers towards these ends to build up a conscientious opinion of various stakeholders on issues related to management of natural resources. We have also demonstrated our strength in areas of research, demonstration and evaluation projects. The students get a regular exposure being an integral part of these trainings and projects.
The school assists in career guidance and facilitates the students for internships and final placements. Traditionally, following industries are already employing and looking for experts in the field of natural resources management.
