About Conference

Cross cultural sensitivity in foreign language teaching-learning

In the language teaching/learning domain, the importance of cross-cultural sensitivity is evident. In modern classrooms, we not only talk about the culture of the target language but also teach, compare and integrate the elements of intercultural studies as well.

All these intercultural aspects are visible through the use of language, study of literature and society in foreign language teaching methodologies.

Objective of the Conference

  • To provide a common platform to all the foreign language academicians, teachers, language professionals, research scholars to share their ideas on cross cultural studies in foreign languages.
  • Future collaboration to excel in the field of foreign language teaching/learning.
  • To promote the basic and applied research in the sector of foreign languages.
  • To exchange ideas and learn from the experts from different institutions.

Call for papers

Students, Scholars, Teachers, Language professionals and experts are invited to present their research papers that can help us identify, deliberate and share the most important aspects of the cross-cultural studies in foreign language teaching/learning which can be further incorporated in the foreign language class rooms to utilize innovative strategies and bring better outcomes.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Amity School of Foreign Languages (ASFL), established in 2005, is located in the sprawling Amity Campus in Sector-125, NOIDA in NCR. The Institute offers Bachelor's Degree Programs in French, German and Spanish under the umbrella of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. We also offer Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Arabic alongside French, German, and Spanish as value-added subject to all other students of the university.

During the program tenure, students study various courses (designed after taking feedback from relevant stake holders) and undergo training sessions which directly cater to the present requirements of the corporate sector. This gives them excellent exposure of the industry and helps in their suitable placements.
