For the Amity Education Group, empowering the girl child is a deep seated commitment that saw the establishment of Amitasha, under the aegis of Amity Humanity Foundation. With schools running to provide free education and nurturing, the core aim of this powerful initiative is to enable the underprivileged girl child to fulfill her every dream and create a bright future for herself and her family. From free education to free clothes, meals, books and more, the girls are provided the much needed guidance and care right through their school life and beyond. The varied activities at the school introduce the girls to myriad forms of educational, personality development and co-curricular activities, ranging from art and craft and music to dance and drama. Regular workshops and cultural events encourage these girls to explore their talents and to try and achieve their full potential. Today, there are 5 schools running in Delhi with our support where over 1,000 girls in the age group of 5-18 are provided proper learning free of cost. The schools are run in the campus of Amity International Schools and boast of the best infrastructure and an ideal learning environment. Starting from Nursery, these girls remain with these schools till class XII under the able guidance of professionally qualified teachers.

At Amitasha, the underlying philosophy is that when girls are educated, healthy and capable, they can transform their communities and pass on the benefits to future generations, thereby playing a vital role in taking our nation to new heights.
