Amity University Jharkhand organized a virtual Debate competition “Take De Bait” on 30th April 2021. The aim of this event was to enhance the student’s skills, confidence and public speaking qualities and enrich their knowledge base in various domains. The topics for debate were from a wide variety ranging from fields of Commerce, Arts and management, based on current vibrant issues.
The Amity College of Commerce invited Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kr. Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kr. Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand, Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand and the whole Amity family to join this debate.
Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kr. Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand motivated the participants and said, “Winning is not the aim, Participating should be the aim”.
Prof.(Dr.) Raman Kr. Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand added to it by saying that debate is not all about chair and positions, it is something which shows how one can impact the number of people.
The debate started with the first round on the topic ‘Is Paris agreement a desirable opportunity for India’ and all the proactive participants presented their point of views very well.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director , Amity University Jharkhand added a psychological dimension and said, ‘We don’t live in our environment rather we stay in six inches of our brain’; and ended with a beautiful line- “Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya, Glanir Bhavati Bharata. Abhyutanam Adharmasya, Tadaatmaanam Srijaamyaham. Paritranaay Saadhunaam, Vinaashaay Ch Dushkritaam. Dharmasanstha Panaarthaay, Sambhavaami Yuge Yuge”.
In short, it means that whenever Dharma is taken over by Adharma, the white light takes birth on the earth for the safety and for defending the good ones.
