“INDUSTRY GUEST LECTURE AT AMITY INSTITUTE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, AMITY UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND”
Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Jharkhand organized a Webinar on the topic "High Throughput Microbioreactors: Bioprocessing by Biolector" on 18th March 2021. The session was conducted by Mr. Jagadish Bennale, Business Development Manager, MicroBioreactors, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The session was conducted through online mode in CISCO WEBEX platform. The event was moderated by Dr. Kunal Kumar, Assistant Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology. The guest lecture session by the eminent resource person from the core Biotech industry provided a robust platform to gain knowledge on the recent developments in Bioprocess Technology and Industrial Biotechnology. The session connected industry and academia and the interaction with the speaker benefited the students and the faculty members of Amity Institute of Biotechnology. Dr. Biswarup Samanta, Convener of the event informed the participants about the series of guest lecture lined up in the next few weeks for its students and informed all that today’s event is organized in direction to the objective of provide enlightening talk from esteemed resource persons of reputed organization of national and international importance Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand stressed on the importance of the session. He emphasized on the significance of the topic in present Industrial biotechnology in finding quick solutions to problems faced by research groups working in biotech domain. Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand congratulated the organizers for arranging the industry guest lecture and motivated the team to continue putting effort to connect industry and academia. Mr. Jagadish Bennale in his 60 minutes deliberation discussed on the basic concepts of Bioprocess. He pointed out the problems faced during optimization of parameters and the possible solution and troubleshooting to all the common problems. He discussed on the cutting-edge technology Microbioreactors and highlighted its error free rapid display of results thereby reducing time and money involved in normal optimization techniques by one factor approach and other related statistical approaches. The insightful talk gave new dimensions to the understanding of High Throughput Microbioreactors and its present industrial applications to the students and faculty members of Amity Institute of Biotechnology. The session ended with vote of Thanks by Dr. Amit Kumar Dutta, Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology.
