The farewell ceremony for the graduating batch was held on 4th April 2025 in the C Block Auditorium, Amity University, Noida. The event was filled with emotions, joy,
and nostalgia as students, faculty members, and juniors gathered to bid adieu to the outgoing students.
The program began with a series of cultural performances, including music, dance, and skits, which set a lively and heartwarming atmosphere. The graduating students then came forward to share their experiences and sweet memories, reminiscing about their journey at Amity. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members for their constant guidance, encouragement, and support throughout their academic years.

The Freshers’ function was held on 18th October, 2024 in the second half of the day at the C Block Auditorium, Amity University, Noida. The event was graced by the presence of all the faculty members, who presided over the function, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
The program was marked by enthusiasm, joy, and creativity as students from all three language departments—French, Spanish, and German—came together to celebrate the spirit of camaraderie and new beginnings. The highlight of the event was the Talent Show Round where students showcased their artistic, musical, and dramatic abilities, followed by an engaging Question and Answer Round that reflected their wit, confidence, and presence of mind.
After an exciting sequence of performances and interactions, the much-awaited titles were conferred. Mr. Fresher was awarded to Mr. Nikhil, while Ms. Fresher was crowned Ms. Inkita Verma amidst loud applause and cheer from the audience.
The event concluded on a cheerful note, with the freshers and seniors capturing countless memories together, marking the beginning of an exciting journey ahead.
On 3rd October 2024, the Eurolingua Club organized a vibrant drama event titled “Dramático”, under the guidance of Dr. Tanwishree Patra. The program brought together students of Spanish, German, and French, offering them a stage to showcase their linguistic skills through theatrical expression.
The Spanish students presented selected acts from La casa de Bernarda Alba by the renowned playwright Federico García Lorca, capturing the intensity and depth of the classic work. The German students enthralled the audience with a lively musical drama, while the French students performed a play entirely in French, reflecting both cultural richness and linguistic finesse.
The event not only celebrated creativity but also provided the participants with an opportunity to widen their horizons, enhance their language competence, and gain confidence in public performance. The students did an amazing job, impressing the audience with their expressive dialogues, engaging stage presence, and overall dedication to the art of drama.
In recognition of outstanding performance, Ms. Yukta was awarded the title of Best Actor, adding a special highlight to the event.
The evening of Dramático turned out to be both entertaining and educational, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
Independence Day is celebrated on 13th August, 2024 at Amity School of Foreign Languages, Amity University, Noida with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The programme begins with the introductory speech by the Head of Institution, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The campus is also adorned with tricolour decorations, creating an atmosphere of national pride.
Students of ASFL present cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits that pay tribute to the freedom fighters of India. Special initiatives such as lighting of diyas in memory of martyrs, are also organized. On this occasion, HoI and Cultural Committee in-charge addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of freedom, unity, and the responsibility of youth in nation-building. The celebration not only honours the sacrifices of the past but also inspires students and faculty to contribute meaningfully towards the progress of the country.
In the end, Cultural Committee members appreciated the efforts of student volunteers and student members of the committee for such a wonderful arrangements.
A Flash-Fiction Competition was organized on 25th July in D Block, Room 105, from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm under Eurolingua Club organized by the coordinator Dr. Tanwishree Patra. The theme of the contest was “Look, the trees are running”, which inspired students across different language streams to unleash their creativity through engaging short narratives.
Students from French, German, and Spanish actively participated, showcasing their literary imagination and linguistic skills. In the Spanish category, Roshni Chakraborty secured the first prize, Preksha Jain won the second prize, and Siya Kumar received the third prize. In the German category, the winners were Ayushi, Priyanshi, and Ritika. In the French category, Muskan claimed the first prize, followed by Khwaish Gupta and Hanshika Taneja in second and third positions respectively.
The event was adjudicated by an esteemed panel of judges — Ms. Savita Bhalla, Ms. Pooja Arora, and Dr. Biswajit Saha — whose insightful evaluation added great value to the competition.
The event was conducted under the valuable guidance of our then Head of Institution, Mr. Inderbir Singh Kochar, and other faculty members; it proved to be an enriching and memorable experience, highlighting both the linguistic diversity and the creative spirit of the students.

German Department of Amity University Noida organized a workshop in D Block, Room 109 at the Amity School of Foreign Languages (ASFL) on 23.11.2024. The session featured a distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Shruti Jain, an Associate Professor at OP Jindal Global University. Dr. Jain's presentation emphasized innovative pedagogical strategies aimed at enhancing language acquisition among students.
The workshop comprised a series of interactive exercises designed to facilitate active engagement with the German language. One such activity involved word-image matching, wherein students were tasked with aligning visual stimuli to corresponding German lexical items. This exercise aimed to reinforce vocabulary retention by associating linguistic elements with sensory input. Additionally, a segment focusing on antonyms through poetic expressions enabled participants to explore semantic relationships within the language. Following this, a creative exercise prompted students to compose poems articulating new hobbies and constructing basic poetic structures, further promoting linguistic creativity.
The workshop's design successfully integrated elements of collaborative learning, fostering an environment conducive to peer interaction while stimulating linguistic curiosity. Dr. Jain’s dynamic and participatory teaching style effectively demonstrated how creative methodologies can enhance both vocabulary acquisition and overall language proficiency.
The overall impact of the workshop was assessed through positive student feedback, reflecting the session's contribution to expanding students’ linguistic abilities and their heightened enthusiasm
for continued language learning. This event underscores the value of integrating innovative learning/teaching methods into language education, suggesting promising avenues for future workshops and instructional initiatives. The event was organized by Dr. Shiv Prakash Yadav, Assistant Professor in the ASFL department. Dr. Biswajit Saha, Assistant Professor at ASFL Amity University, did the honour of giving the vote of thanks at end of the workshop.
Amity University’s compassion towards water conservation runs on full enthusiasm and to support the same, Amity School of Foreign Languages organizes Save Water Drive. It encompasses a comprehensive strategy with “Zero Waste” policy, extensive water recycling and awareness campaigns for students and staff on water- saving practices.
Moreover, Teachers, support staff, and even parents participated enthusiastically, making the event a community-wide effort.
This comprehensive approach not only reduced water wastage but also promotes a self-sustaining system within the campus.
Their suggestions included installing low-flow taps, fixing leaks promptly, and initiating rainwater harvesting.
The Save Water Drive was a great success and served its purpose of spreading awareness and promoting environmental responsibility. The school plans to follow up with monthly reviews and more such initiatives to ensure long-term impact.
An interactive quiz on water-saving facts and practices is also attempted by senior students.
