Nobel Laureate Sir Richard J. Roberts addressed Amity students at the Amity University Noida Campus on 11th January 2017, where he gave a lecture on ‘The Path to the Nobel Prize’, and inspired Amity students to endeavour for excellence in their fields of interest. He also inaugurated the Sir Richard Robert Center of Genetically Modified Organism at Amity University, Noida Campus.
One of the world’s most eminent and recognized luminaries of science, Sir Richard J. Roberts was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 1993, for the discovery of Introns in Eukaryotic DNA and mechanism of gene-splicing. Sir Roberts is a thinker and creator of rare accomplishments who exemplifies mature thinking, action and application of knowledge for common good. A living example of unstinted dedication and resolute determination towards technological advancement and innovation, he is a greatly revered mentor for students and young scientists around the world.
