Human values and professional ethics are intertwined. While values are concerned with personal conviction and the core belief that guides or motivates action and behaviour, ethics are described as a set of standards of conduct that indicate how one should behave based on moral duties and virtues arising from principles about right and wrong. Professional ethics are concerned with the moral framework of the concepts of right and wrong when applied to a professional organisation’s execution of rules and policies. Psychosocial competencies, life skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills help in solving problems, thinking critically, developing coping strategies, and managing personal and professional lives in the workplace. Stakeholders need to possess such ethical codes and attributes as self-awareness, compassion, leadership, honesty, respect, responsibility and integrity.
